How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Huge apartments with everything you need. Only a few meters from the city center. Late arrival was accepted from the host.

It was very noisy, as we stay at Saturday and there was a big party, maybe because of Christmas

Close to the main square; private parking. Matea and her Father were so nice and welcoming. Our unit was super clean and comfortable, had everything we needed.

The apartment was tidy, clean, well-equipped. We found everything we needed. Location is perfect, apartment is in the center of Samobor. Apartment is way more better than looks in pictures. The host was absolutely amazing - gave us recomendations on what to see, where to eat.

I highly recommend the place and our host Rudi. He waited for us till late, checked us in quickly and assisted us with dinner. The apartment is spacious and has a great location. Free parking is provided as well.

I guess they should have given a little more attention to cleanliness or maybe it was our bad luck. The refrigerator had not been cleaned before us. I also think that the kitchen facilities could be improved a little more.
Apartment Rudy is a very nice family run business. The owner and his managerial daughter are very nice people and do their job well. They are very helpful and look at their guests as if they were family rather than customers.

The location is very close to many of the locations in the small walkable town. The host was excellent and helped us find great food and sites to see. There's a market attached to the apartment for extra convenience. You can't find a better place! Thank you for having us!

Only one shower and one toilette in the rooms, regardless of how many people staying, would make life difficult for bigger groups for sure. Keep in mind.

I would suggest to place a hanger for the shower head for comfort. Wish we could get a better check-out time, it was really problematic for us but the host couldn't support.
Great location, spacious apartment well equipped and clean. The host was really nice, explained us on the town a bit. All and all - great value for money, and lovely little town.

The only minor criticisms were that the sharp knives were quite bendy & there was some black mould on the bathroom ceiling.
Nice & spacious property with all the kitchen equipment you could need, plus a nice walk-in shower. Situated right in the middle of Samobor. Good central heating for staying warm at winter!

After staying in this hotel for two nights, I cannot in good conscience recommend that tourists choose any other property in Samobor. Everything was excellent. The hosts are very kind and responsive, going above and beyond to make sure you feel good about your stay. They let me check in pretty late, and helped give me directions with the public transport itself. The facilities themselves are very comfortable, spacious, and homey; I wish I had stayed longer, so I could have settled in a bit more. The location is incredible, too; the apartment is literally around the corner from the most picturesque streets, and because it's a smaller town, it's still pretty quiet.
