How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Close to Plitvice National Park. We stayed at Easter, the lovely hosts shared with us their Easter lamb! Just wunderful everything!

Curtains were insufficient to block the morning sun, so we were up early.
Spacious studio apartment was comfortable for our family of 5. Location is great- just 10 minutes drive from Entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes National Park. It was also convenient to have a small supermarket across the street and restaurant on the premises.

Beautiful wooden building in a nice secluded area, about 10min drive to Plitvice National Park. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and the apartment had everything we needed for a few days - a well provisioned kitchen (although it was missing a dish towel?), comfortable beds and a nice terrace to relax on in the evenings. It also had Air conditioning which was much appreciated as we stayed in the peak of summer! There's also a restaurant and supermarket next door so it's very easy to get supplies/have dinner or breakfast before heading out.

At times the Wifi wasn’t the best, however this wasn’t a major issue.
Such lovely cabins, well equipped with 2 bedrooms perfect for a family with 2 kids. Located in such beautiful nature and surroundings and is only 10 minutes from entrance 1 of the National park. If you’re looking for accommodation different from your typical hotel, then highly recommend the cabins. They are super cute! The hosts were wonderful and very welcoming and provided any information we needed. There is also a resturant that only just recently opened so we had a beautiful dinner and breakfast there. Food was beautiful. Would highly recommend if staying in Plitvice!

Very nice and calm location, well equiped and extremely helpful staff. We had an issue with a car and the owner called a mechanic who fixed it during our visit to Plitvice. Thank you!

Mario and his wife were just great. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. The hospitality was perfect. They just opened a restaurant in their guest house, we are there dinner and it looks very very promising. Thanks a lot

Beds are hard and could do with toppers; this seems to be a common issue in Croatia.
Clean! Friendly staff. Close to Plitvice and beautiful village along the river Korana. The cabins were super cute.

Wifi was down when we were there. But the cell signal was fine. No credit card payment yet, so had to get cash in a nearby ATM. But once their restaurant is open, credit card payment is possible.
Good location, 10-15 minutes away from the national park. Lovely cabin with two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds, perfect for our family with two kids. There is also a day bed in the living room. The owner is very nice. She gave us tips on the routes of the national park. Breakfast is 10euro a person, pretty good and convenient.

we had a great stay at Zafran. Apartment was very spacious and clean. we had everything that’s needed: small kitchen, bathroom, airconditioning etc Very nice host and quiet location (shop is just around the corner as well)

The place was nice, the hosts were really kind, and we were even offered some pancakes, while we were there just for one night. Delightful people, a flat near the natural park, a peaceful place, perfect to rest.

Excellent value cabin that was a very quick ride to Plitvice. This spot was excellent value for our family of 6 as a base to enjoy our hikes in the National Park. It was very hot while we were there but the air conditioning worked really well. Wifi signal was strong and the hostess was lovely and accommodating, happy to share ideas about what to see in the area. We had a bit of difficulty locating it as it is a bit off the main road but that might have been a GPS issue. Would definitely recommend.

Very big house clean and nice rooms the beds are comfortable the atmosphere was also excellent in great location. We really enjoyed the stay. We will return!

Uppon arrival our lovely host greeted and informed us. We stayed in one of the cosy wooden cottages which absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was like a dream. Proper wooden furniture, two bedrooms, red and white checked curtains and a huge balcony. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.A very friendly and polite young couple run the property. A small supermarket is about 50 meters away.

A bit disappointing that their restaurant (incl breakfast) is closed due to COVID still. However, there is a shop right across the place where you can get bread or anything for breakfast and many restaurants in the neighborhood for dinner. They were kind to give their recommendations.
Really good value for money, close to the lakes. Comfortable rooms with kitchenette. Really friendly hosts!
