Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaThe road to the house is pretty narrow, not for inexperienced drivers. Area is (too) densely built with houses very close to one another, so the fact that this was one is the last in line was an advantage to us. We were lucky to be alone in the house, I think the pool and the area around it would be crowded if there are more people who do not know each other.
The apartment on the ground floor with 2 bedrooms was pleasant, everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a table with chairs in front of the apt surrounded with a beautiful little garden, the landscape is exceptionally well maintained. There is a pool behind the house with BBQ facilities (we did not use it) and an additional table with chairs for a nice meal. The house is the last one in the village so it borders a beautiful pine forrest. Wolt delivery available. The communication with the host was very simple with efficient instructions for the check-in/out.

United StatesThis apartment had plenty of room for our entire family. The rooms were big and had a nice large closet/wardrobe in each. The kitchen/living room was very nice and provided a nice space for us to relax and have a nice meal together as a family. The best part about the apartment was the outdoor terrace. The outside space was nice and inviting and beautiful in the mornings for a cup of coffee. We enjoyed our time in the apartment and would highly recommend this space for other travelers. Take note that the walk to the supermarket and restaurants is about a 10 minute walk downhill. So your return is UPHILL! It is a very pleasant walk, but if you do not have a car, it is a very nice exercise...hint hint. This isn't negative, just a note for you to remember! The hosts were excellent and even gave us some of their organic garden picks! Lovely hosts!

PolandWe stayed with a group of friends for one night and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and according to the description. The host was very nice and supported with logistics and others things we needed. The place is in quiet area and it is easy to reach the port, city attractions and old town.

United KingdomThe apartment was far from what we expected. We expected a private pool but was shared with all guests. The main reason we booked it was it stated PRIVATE but that was not the case, it should of said SHARED POOL NOT PRIVATE POOL. To top that off on our first day a guest took a number 2 in the pool and we were called and asked about it, which was not only traumatising as well as embarrassing. The location was nice if you don't intend to leave the apartment as it's on a steep and long hill. No shops or restaurants nearby. No Uber eats or food delivery. Its easy walking down, but uphill will be a struggle. We had to get taxis to take us up. If you like peace and quiet it's perfect.
The hosts mother Iva was really nice and welcoming, she tried her best to communicate with us while not knowing English. The apartment was clean and spacious. Air-conditioning is only available in the kitchen, not the bedrooms. It was fine for us, but those that get really hot might find it an issue.

United KingdomThere is a lot of noise when people move furniture upstairs (could do with fabric patches on the bottom of feet to prevent this). The internet appears to be the whole building and is very slow - not suitable for streaming Netflix at times when others are using it The kitchen has some cookware and dishes etc but it is limited, which made cooking a bit challenging, and a better fit to people who are planning to eat out (no baking trays, one frying pan, one spatula, no scissors, no tin opener, just to name a few) As we saw with some other apartments the A/C is only in the living room, so bedroom doors have to be kept open when sleeping. You would want a car or moped for this apartment as it’s up a very long hill! There are lots of things on the booking.com list that the apartment doesn’t have an may apply to the upstairs apartments (hairdryer - apparently stolen, washing facilities seem to be in garage but not sure how to use them, no dvd / CD player, no fireplace, no view - unless you go outside - pool is shared with other apartments as you may or may not expect, extremely limited cleaning products - toilet bleach, washing up liquid and vinegar, toiletries equates to just hand soap)
This apartment would be a good fit for anyone who really wants to utilised the garden, pool and will be out and about a bit and needs it as a comfortable base. The garden terrace and pool area is lovely. The pool is petite but really lovely and lit up at night. There’s a good pool shower, nice loungers and the outdoor area with a table and oven is delightful. The terrace outside the ground floor flat is also nice, with a sun shade for later in the day and a lovely vegetable patch. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms are spacious. There’s a little turtle who lives in the bushes which is super cute All rooms have mosquito nets and good blinds which is excellent for privacy and for sleeping Good space for parking. Easy check in was great and the hosts were flexible
