They need a lock on the bathroom door - a fellow guest entered and opened the shower curtain when I was naked inside. The kitchen had ants everywhere. The bedroom had spiders all along the walls. It’s a shame because staff very friendly and good location, but maybe need a cleaner/locks :)

Very nice place for spending some nights. Good location, not far from centre and everything. All areas are clean and modern. Little and comfortable. Everything is functional and thought out to the smallest details. Beds are really good. Nice kitchen to use with everything you might need. The best hostel I ever been! And staff is very friendly and helpful ) Some things exceeded my expectations and it was a nice surprise.

Dirty and crammed as soon as you enter. Lots of clothes and bags in there that don’t seem like any travellers’. Fridge was dirty and had mouldy food in it. There is no vending machines. Bed had ants on it and towel had a strange smell. Women’s sanitary towel was over flowing (that can’t have been emptied in ages) I booked as a last minute stop over, arriving late, and I wouldn’t suggest it at all. It’s a fair walk from the bus and train station of with luggage. (20 mins) I really wouldn’t stay here again. Possibly one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in. No one is manning this hostel which means it is dirty and a mess. It is far from the photos.

This place is an absolute crap hole. Smelt terrible when I walked in, the communal area was very messy, washing machine broken, no lock on the shared bathroom door, the towels smelt damp, the lock on private room door was loose.

The mattress has hard springs that extrude out everywhere so much that it hurts to lie, the room was very noisy because a boiler and a fridge are right next to the beds.

The bathroom was nice, unlocking doors with a phone is smart.

As soon as I entered the hostel, the ‘vibe was off’- this is not a hostel for solo travellers!! This hostel consists of a single dormitory, which is located in the basement with no natural light. Although the basement is cool, the beds are very small, and the mattress is extremely uncomfortable, which made for a bad night's sleep. Apparently, the hostel operates its main door with a Nuki lock, but not all guests adhered to locking it behind them. Very scarily, every single time I came back to the hostel, the door was open, and anyone could have wandered down to the room. This made for a frightening night's sleep as I was afraid for my safety. To add to that, the lockers were very small, so bags were vulnerable to theft as they had to be left out on the dorm floor. The bathroom, which was kept relatively clean, had no working cold water in the main sink so when you turned it on, only scaldingly hot water would come out. The kitchen is small and is kept very untidily by permanent residents that reside at the hostel. There was also no communal area which made socialising and meeting people difficult. The location was also not ideal as it was quite far out, although I knew this before my stay. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and book a stay at Hostel OT.

I would like to expresss my deep discontentement regarding my most recent booking at Hostel OT, in Split (5th to 6th June). This hostel should not be considered as a hostel. Upon arrival, no one checked our identification, there was no check-in, no statf to welcome us. The hostel consisted on a kitchen and a basement with 12 beds. There were no windows, the room was dirty and the outside door was completely shattered as if anyone could get in. The pictures advertised on booking did not match reality at all. At some point, 5 men arrived and they looked like they were living there permanently. This was a very uncomfortable situation and we decided it was not safe for us to stay there, as 6 girls and for anyone, it was an unacceptable scenario. We went on to look for another place to stay and later we were informed that that Hostel OT did not even have a permit to be acting as a hostel. The pictures available on Booking ate not representative of what is happening in that Hostel, and it should not be allowed to receive guests as it is. I am placing this complaint because situations like these should be prevented from happening, and we had to look for alternative decisions last minute late in the evening. As a result, we would like to ask for a total refund of this booking with our most sincere concerning. We ended up being in a very stressful situation that could have ended up in a blank night outside. We hope this situation is taken care of smoothly otherwise we will have to resort to our lawyers and we do not want to resort to such drastic measures.

the bathrooms were okay just some locks would be nice and the A.c on the listing applies for the kitchen. once I arrived some people stayed in the bed during the day and one strong snorking person was present but as usually ear plugs are helping out .

Everything was prefect.

Exceptional for the price, right downtown, prefect location, a 3 minute walk from the sea. Before all, we appreciated Abu, the receptionist, check in in 5 seconds, quicker than in a 5 star Radison Blu Resort and spa where we has been saying before Abu. Abu even spoke French to me. Smiling and hospitable. As for the kitchen, we easily cooked dinner on the clean induction stove. Family atmosphere like in Belgium. Very big room for 2 with a big comfortable bed like in Sicily. Strongly recommended for low budget and friendly attitude.

all of the mattresses were full of springs, you could feel them digging into your back and sides when you lay down (I tried 3 beds and they were all the same), pillows were lumpy and I have now hurt my neck after three nights at this hostel - did not sleep at all my third night as I was in so much pain and couldn’t get any comfort from the mattress of pillow. I ended up trying to sleep on the tiny couch upstairs

Dirty. No reception, it's all automatic. Dirty. Dirty again. The laundry is just above the room in underground, and people do the laundry at night. There is no door for the room in underground and you hear the noisy of all the rest of the building. The light system may be better managed

It's a little bit too small, there isn't enough space and the communal area near the kitchen is tiny. Coming there with a group of friends might be tricky, but definitely recommend for solo travellers!

I like the fact that you simply reserve a bed and everything is there ready for you. There is pretty much no receiptionists and it's just plain simple. The place is small but you get everything you need. A kitchen, bathroom, iron and washing machine with a dryer.
