Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. HungaryI liked everything. The only thing that was a bit old an rusty is the awning (sunshade) - but it gave us proper shade to have breakfast on the terrace.
We stayed in the DeLuxe Apartment at the top floor, everything is spacious, new and beautiful. Two large terraces with full sea view, and several small balkonies. Kitchen is so well equipped we liked to cook and eat at home, Note: the 3rd bedroom and its bathroom are small, but has one of the large terraces and spectacular view. There is a small but lovely beach within 100 meters. The pool is nice too. Close to hiking trail red (8-9) to Vela Luka, moderately difficult hike.

SlovakiaI waited with this review until we sort out things, but so far without any luck. I was on a work & pleasure trip which became a total nightmare after I break the glass terrace door which cut my head and knee pretty badly - even today I have problems walking. So be careful cause the glass on the terrace is nice and clean, but it's annealed glass that can break into sharp pieces if you have bad luck as I had. After the accident, they told me to not worry about glass and that it will be covered by insurance. The staff was nice until this moment. I spent the rest of my stay in bed healing my knee. I checked out 1 day early, and wanted to ask if wouldn't be possible to get a small discount for a ruined stay - I was only hoping for a bit of empathy (as the stay was expensive), and they could just say NO. But instead, the property booking agent started to be very rude and yelled at me that he wants money for the glass! Then he hung up. A few hours later I received an email from Booking.com that I should pay 150 euro for damages. On checkout call, I also requested an invoice by email which they didn't provide at all. Until today I didn't receive an invoice for stay, and ALSO no invoice for damages. After asking booking.com to help with the case, the property now asking for 100 eur more for damages before they issue an invoice. So after weeks of ignoring my invoice request, this is even weirder. I was surprised about this and trying to call the agent without luck. I suppose he is just making fun of me. To sum up, there are some very kind people cleaning the property, but arrogant property agent. No invoice received. And as a bonus, they ask for a random price for the damage. Honestly, I really want to forget about all of this ASAP.
Location is good, but you have to pay toll for beaches on the east. Very kind people cleaning the house, but rude property agent (contact number).
