Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room had a nice balcony and decent kitchenette. The bad was okay as well. Nice bathroom.

United KingdomSometimes there was a slightly bad smell from the pipes and the older host was not as friendly. However, both these things did not affect our stay, which was overall still very good.
The location was excellent, about 10 minutes from a gorgeous beach and very close to shops and good restaurants. The place was big enough for a couple and had a private balcony which was very lovely. The air conditioning was great and cooled down the entire apartment. One of the hosts (the younger one) was very friendly and spoke many languages (including English and Italian).

United KingdomStaff: Jadro was okay, with decent English, but the older man, who didn't speak a word of English, was extremely rude. On the first night, he barged into my room, pointing his finger at me and yelling something in Croatian that I couldn't fully understand. I believe he was mad that I turned on the air conditioning in an overheated room for only 5 minutes but forgot to close the window. As if he was paying me for my stay! He even threatened to cut off the power entirely, which was completely unacceptable behaviour. I was expecting at least an apology, but nothing was offered. This initial impression left me feeling unsafe and uncomfortable throughout my stay. Furthermore, the shower head holder in the bathroom was broken. I reported it immediately, but unfortunately, it was not fixed even by the end of my stay. The bathroom amenities provided at the accommodation were quite basic and minimal. There were only a hair dryer, a couple of towels and a roll of toilet paper available. Surprisingly, there was not even a bar of soap provided. Overall, my experience at the accommodation was marred by the rude behaviour of the older staff member and the lack of attention to maintenance issues. I hope the management addresses these concerns to provide a more pleasant stay for future guests.
Great location, just 5 minutes to the beach. The room is small and basic, featuring a double bed with two single mattresses on it and no safe box. However, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the room provides free Wi-Fi and sufficient sockets. Additionally, there is a convenient minimart nearby. For those in need of a haircut, there is a hairdresser close by, though the staff is known to be quite lazy

United KingdomIncredibly foul and constant smell of sewage from the bathroom drains made my four night stay like a nightmare. Although I kept the bathroom door closed and its windows open, the entire place smelled like the open sewer around the corner, so I used to take refuge to the balcony. Furthermore leaky shower cubicle makes the bathroom floor very unpleasant, but that is not the cause of the bad smell. The smell comes from the drains/sinks. Public toilets in the city are more pleasant and hygienic than this!
