Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandChurch bells really loud, at 7am it will definitely wake you up. But it's shown on apartment's photos and all the europeans are used to this more or less, so it wasn't surprise for us. AC unit is located in the lounge/kitchen area, not in the bedroom.
Perfect stay by any means. Best location in Kastel, right in the old town, with medieval architecture, lots of restaurants, bakeries, small grocery stores. Appartment is located right in between 2 beaches, 5-10 min walk. As for me, apartment looks exactly as on pictures, enough space for 3 adults, everything worked, furniture's pretty solid (at least better than ikeas paper ones). Huge terrace with sea/old church view, actually you'll spend most of the time there. Inside you'll find all the necessities, including beach towels, which is handy for backpackers. Bus stop is ~5-7 min walking distance. For the price of 1-1.5 eur you can ride to the airport(10min)/Trogir(20min)/Split(40min) by bus №37. Vinka is really nice host, easily communicates in english, responds fast, picked us on the airport, she was very polite and positive. Considering all the facilities you can stay here for anylong vacations without any compromise.

HungaryIt’s near a church, which is very beautiful, especially when sitting on the terrace. However, if you have a light sleep and you like to sleep more in the morning, the bells are ringing at 7.
The location is great, a beautiful village 20-30 minutes from Split, very nice and quiet in middle of September. The beach is very close, also the restaurants. The house has everything you need, the host is very nice and helpful.

GermanyWe have missed some basic kitchen equipment. The apartment was a little bit dark, because of the closed window shutter.
Really nice apartment in central location.

United KingdomApartments Villa Mira was a great choice! It's conveniently located near the beach, local shops, and restaurants. We even got a 10% discount at a nearby restaurant for staying there. The private parking, just a 2-minute walk away at the host's house, was a bonus. Highly recommended!

Everything was very clean and neat, kitchen supplied with all the essentials to cook and eat, great location with historical buildings around and beaches literally minutes away on foot, shops and restaurants nearby, great terrace with the view to the church (just note that this comes with loud bells in early hours..). Host was very welcoming and allowed me to check out much later in the day to catch my evening bus. Recommended!

FinlandGreat location in historical center of small and very cozy town Kaštel Novi. You can find everything you need nearby (minimarket, restaurant, cocktail bar, bakery). Beaches and nice promenade for evening walks were nice too. Short distance to the airport Split and Trogir, only a few km. Very nice and hospitable apartment owner Vinka who gave a good quick guiding to the town and services and as a gift we got transfer to the airport the morning we left. It was one of the best places to stay of our 7th vacation experience in wonderful Croatia. Highly recommend this small authentic town and Villa Mira!

United KingdomVinka had met us straight at the arrival. She was extremely nice, showed us the apartment and the parking space, asked us about the trip, told us about local restaurants ,beaches and places to see. She reassured us we could contact her 24/7. The apartment was cosy and clean, it had an entrance to a sunny terrace. Wee farmer market place, beaches and shops were just no more then 5 min. away from Villa Mira. We also visited palace of Diocletian in Split, old town of Trogir, waterfalls of Krka, took Three Island day sea trip from Trogir.

United StatesThis review is for the 2 bedroom downstairs apartment. Vinka was an absolutely incredible host and showed us so much Croatian hospitality. She lives right up the street and is available for anything you need, this is also where you will park if you are bringing a car. Then you will also get to say hi to her adorable Golden Retriever Julie too! We appreciated having a nice big place to put our car, given all the tiny spots on the road. The apartment is very well done with 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a bunk bed, great for a small family. The apt has thoughtful things like screens on the windows and roller shades on the outside to keep it cool and dark inside. It is a not a huge space, but that makes it great when it is hot outside as the A/C cools everything down really quickly. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking and the bathroom was very nicely finished and modern. You also have use of the beautiful shared terrace over looking the church square (she has more apartments upstairs to rent as well). The location can't be beat, it is steps away from the water, and 5 minutes from a wonderful local beach. There is also plenty of restaurants and a nice promenade nearby where you can walk to other nearby beaches, restaurants and more. We strolled around the area every evening. We had a lovely stay, thank you so much Vinka for making our stay so wonderful! Give Julie some extra belly rubs from us :)

SwedenAfter my 9 star review I got a text from the owner where she called me, and i quote, "evil" for giving her such a "bad" review. I must say it surprised me to say the least. Also on the day we checked out she asked us to leave a review if we would give her a 10 star and otherwise skip it. Unfortunately we will never come back after this incident although the place itself was really nice.
