Beautiful decor (even exit signs were marble and gold). Artists' corner. Extremely professional, hard-working staff! Location, AC, parking, breakfast was bountiful. Every detail was exceptional!

It's a beautiful hotel with a comfortable and sophisticated interior that corresponds greatly with the atmosphere of Varazdin. The location is perfect, within the historical center of the city (yet calm and quiet), with a very nice park across the street. The staff was super friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the breakfast :)

Varazdin is Vienna in Croatia. Absolutely beautiful old Town. Hotel staff took care of us even getting the restaurant down the street to deliver our dinner as a storm was moving through. Breakfast was over the top. Highly recommend.

There were no hot water… incredible, but true. We don’t know why, but we showered with cold water. Room wasn”t clean..

Noisy in the morning, they put on the music at 7 am and the doors/walls are not sound proof, so everything is very well heard. Very slow service during breakfast.

The heating in the bathroom didn't work. With the air conditioning on was a bit warmer, but when the whole room floor is covered in tiles and there are no slippers provided (even though it said they would be) with the snow storm outside, it's a bit cold. Also, the AC was shut in the middle of the night by staff forcefully (the power was cut off, it didn't shut down properly). The breakfast was nothing spectacular, okay at the most. Also, the patio was a part of the parking lot. Since it was cold, we didn't use it, but nevertheless - would've it been warmer, it'd be useless either.

Staff was very friendly. Location is great - close to Old Town. Rooms have nice baroque touch. If you come for the weekend, the city parking is free and there are places right in front of the hotel. The cakes in the cafe are huge and very, very tasty. They also serve Franck Superiore teas which are very good.

The lobby/breakfast area is very cramped; “palace” is a misnomer. Breakfast is mediocre.

For the price of the hotel it is expected to get some level of comfort. We stayed in the family room, and it is nicely decorated, but the "sofa bed" is really uncomfortable. For the price which is in range of 5-star hotels near, one would expect some comfort. Double bed was comfortable, but again not big enough for the level expected. Breakfast is very basic. The worst thing is the water pressure in the shower. Shower room looks spectacular, it is really big and comfortable, but the water pressure is terrible. It is bad in the first place, but if someone in the separated toilet flushes, or uses the sink, the water practically stops running. And it was the first floor room, one can only imagine what happens on the second one.

Great location, staff is really helpful and very professional, although one person is in charge of reception and cafe, so prepare for some waiting time.

Arbia-Dorka advertises itself as a "luxury hotel," but our experience was quite the opposite. We spent one night there - and were happy to hurry away for the following reasons: 1. Our room - number 4 - was tiny with a low ceiling (not what is shown in the photos), one has the feeling of being in a storage room or a cave. (sultry) 2. The shower was tiny and as confined as a coffin. 3. The water hardly dribbled out, both morning and evening. (pressure ?) 4. Towels and linen were top quality cleaned, but had yellowish-brown stains on them. 5. We could hear every word spoken in the corridor and at the reception desk, as if there were only a curtain between us. 6. There was no water or kettle in the room. (The kind receptionist said we could make tea, free of charge, outside by the reception at any time, but there was no kettle outside on the tiny board.) 7. In the morning when we opened our door, a chair obstructed our passage (this was being used as the breakfast space) . 8. The coffee was delicious, but when we asked for a refill, we were told we had to pay for the second cup. The owner offered to lower our price by 10% ( we accepted it), but we were not impressed. I am a frequent traveler and know what to expect from the term "luxury hotel". Arbia-Dorka is well placed in the center, and indeed, the furniture is of nice, Italian design.

The air conditioner is not cooling the room. It works without efect. Window curtains are huge, massive, so they push the windows and there is no way to open the windows so they stay open and cool down the room a bit. So, bottom line, it was very hot in the room and just couldn’t sleep.

There was a party in the backyard and we couldn't rest. In the first room they offered us, there were an annoying sound from a/c, I suppose. They changed it and solve this issue, but the loud music stayed till midnight. The breakfast is a joke... I won't comment what they offer, but the table was in front of the reception , even though there was a space with some more tables 3m distance. :-( They took the money twice, even though the lady assured us that one of the amounts is only freezed. I wait a reply to my email for 3days, now. Not professional :-(((

It took a really really really long time for the hot water to reach our room.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location. Lovely outdoor spot for coffee across the street. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. Loved all the fresh fruit choices.
