Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWe came to stay at B&B Plitvice Lacus and we’re pleasantly greeted by lovely staff that offered us beverages before we came to our room. The newly renovated apartment was beautiful and modern, and very comfortable and the location was perfect for a day in the National Park. In addition, we left a special piece of jewelry in the safe without realizing. Alen went above and beyond to get us the bracelet. He packed it up and shipped it DHL to our next destination and we were overjoyed to be reunited with our valuable possession. Thank you so much Alen!

The B&B is beautifully located in a small village and only 5-10 minutes by car to the entrances of Plitvice Lakes (and various Restaurants and small Supermarkets). The host is very nice and helpful and speaks excellent English. Everything in the accommodation is thought through, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast includes a buffet of predominantly locally sourced ingredients and was delicious.

GermanyThe apartment building is very new. The couple that owns the place is very friendly and always willing to help. They also called people to arrange horse back riding for us. You can get free coffee. The location is very nice and in the nature. Nevertheless, a very nice restaurant is within walking distance. All rooms have a balcony. The breakfast is 10 euros per person and is excellent. I would highly recommend this place. It’s also very close to the national park In a separate room you have a high quality iron and multiple washing machines. They also offer to give you free towels if you need new ones. Our stay there was amazing.

NetherlandsWe specifically booked this hotel because of the swimming pool. The screenshots accompanying this review show how the search for a place to stay including swimming pool was filtered and what the output hereof was on Booking.com. A photo of the swimming pool was even shown in the description B & B Plitvice Lacus (see screenshot). However, the pool was non existent! The swimming pool on the photo does not belong to Plitvice Lacus but to hotel Degenija further away. This hotel is located 5 minutes / 350 meters walk from Plitvice Lacus (see screenshot on Google Maps). Beside that, an amount of 50 Kuna (€6.50) per person must be paid for this pool. This is misleading information. We would never have booked this accommodation if there had been no swimming pool. We discussed this situation with the owner. This gentleman claims he has put the pool on Booking.com in order to offer guests more. However, this is not credible because in reviews can be read that there was confusion about the pool among guests before. The owner puts false information about the pool on Booking.com just for one reason: to get more customers. After our comments about this towards the owner, the pool photo and text were taken from Booking.com. Unfortunately, this adjustment came too late for us and we paid too much for what we could expect, namely a swimming pool. We have been misled, however, the owner was not prepared to compensate. We are therefore writing this review on the advice of Booking.com. This property does not deserve 4 stars. Why 4 stars? There are no facilities. The apartments look nicely decorated. The breakfast is decent, but pricey. The location of the accommodation in relation to Plitvice is favorable.
