Just be aware that are a lot of mosquitos around the pool area. It’s nature! But you will be bitten 😅

Everything was perfect for us. Room, Dinner, Lunch Amazing set in the evening and the whole village is just beautiful. We really loved our stay!

The staff and the detail to that property was very good! The owners are very focused on the well being of the guests! Breakfast was very good. There is an event every friday kind of a talk, which was very nice and entertaining.

A little more attention to room maintenance is needed. Vegan dinner is OK but way overpriced.

Charming and unique place, beautifully renovated with artistic touch. A small, remote collection of houses in an impressive mountain surroundings. Great hosts with a good breakfast, good value for the money and a good experience overall.

The pool is lovely however when we were there the water was very green so it does need some maintenance.

The staff is lovely at this hotel, the restaurant serves delicious food and very reasonably priced. The room was clean, spacious and great views of the pool. The breakfast was delicious as well and included in the price of the room. Cleaners are friendly and efficient. Lovely decor. We had a room with a pool view - would recommend this room/ other rooms that are away from the main building where the reception/ restaurant area is.

Very nice staff!! Great advices and friendly. Very nice swimming pool and there is a town and restaurants nearby. We didn’t eat at the accommodation because it was quite expensive. The breakfast was included and very delicious!!

The pool is small and has a lot of chemicals, making swimming difficult. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant only offered vegan food, despite the description indicating that there would be other options. As a result, we were unable to have dinner on site and there were no facilities in the room for us to eat our own food. After a tiring day of travel, we had to go to the city for dinner. The hotel staff offered to book a restaurant for us, but it turned out to be the most expensive restaurant we had been to so far, even more so than in Saint Tropez, Cannes, and Verona where we got more for less money. To add to our dissatisfaction, the cleaning staff entered our room in the morning without asking for permission and while my husband was naked. Overall, we did not feel very welcome in Croatia and we are sorry to say so.

The room was lovely, and the entire place is unique and interesting , stone and wood made buildings . We appreciated the silence and the free parking.

AC and fridge needed in the bedrooms during such hot weather. The WIFI connection kept dropping out.

No aircon or balcony on our room, wasnt the end of the world as weather wasn't fantastic but can imagine it would be a bit warm for us with just a fan if the weather has been as good as the beginning of our holiday in Croatia

Rustic lovely building with friendly staff, clean rooms and very welcoming would 100% go back , you definitely need a car it is out the way but its perfect for a peaceful retreat which exactly what we wanted for the final leg of road trip

Being on a motorcycle the gravel parking area with differing depths of gravel was unnerving to park in. Similar thoughts were expressed by a couple of HD riders. For non bikers, the ideal gravel scanario is shallow with a solid base so the narrow front wheel doesn't sink :). A small point anyway as I didn't drop it!

Where to start. I was welcomed by Mattia and shown around and to my room. Everything felt tranquil and like an oasis. My room was large, had air conditioning and a spacious private balcony with lovely views of the setting sun and surrounding hills. The bathroom was large with a roll top bath tub. The part I stayed in was a newly renovated addition and also had the pool nearby. Being a vegetarian hotel I was trepidatious as regards the evening meals, but both nights were incredible! Three courses created by an artist! The surroundings only added to the ambience. It's on my list of places to stay again.

This Hotel was an unexpected delight, with really friendly hospitality and excellent home cooking (vegetarian) too. One needs a car to enjoy exploring the region (it is not in a city centre) but we had ours and thoroughly enjoyed the location as a result. The cauliflower soup was quite exceptional!

Everything! I was let down by another hotel so booked 30 minutes before arriving. The staff were lovely, laid on some delicious food and couldn't have been more helpful. The whole hotel is fascinating and my room was exceptional. I would guess that it had been recently completed as everything seemed perfect. I am travelling by motorbike so safe parking is always welcome.

A place where you meet friendliness, people who care, individuals who love what they do. This is reflected in their home design, style, food, attention to detail. It is just one of those special places. Amazing breakfast, nice dinner with delicious wine. Yes, I would not hesitate to come back.

There were many bees and large wasps, especially in the pool area. As soon as the shower were open and it got a little wet on the ground, they immediately came to drink (given the heat). It wasn't a real problem but there were so many. Maybe there was a hive in the area.

A beautiful structure a little out of everything. The works done to re-structure the new part are very beautiful as is the rest of the structure. The swimming pool is splendid and there is a beautiful peace. The location is good for visiting the coast but not right on the coast (about 15/20 minutes). Parking available and free on site. There is a very good restaurant which offers only vegetarian / vegan dishes. The room we stayed in was very nice and very big. The staff was just perfect.

The WiFi was quite weak, but we didn’t need it anyway.

Our stay at balatura was perfect. Everyone working there was extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. We felt very welcome. Our room had a lovely balcony with a stunning view, and the room it self was very beautiful and spacious. The breakfast was so tasty and thoughtfully made and the dinner was very delicious. Overall, we had a great stay and didn’t want to leave!

We know that hotel is totally nature orianted but still some AC units in rooms would be perfect in hot days. When its just warm outside you won’t need one. Besides that really nothing we didn’t like.

Really romantic, fabolous ambient with nature and good people around the hotel. Rooms are much bigger then expected. Food was so deliciues from breakfast to dinner desert, home made drinks, etc. Pool, rooms and hotel in general was very clean. Wifi has good coverage evreywhere. All the staff was really helpful, owner gave us some great tips for some beaches, viewpoints.
