How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

They had an event area next to the rooms and they were a bit noisy until late hours.
Very nice and big room with big bathroom; tv has Netflix access which i loved! Staff was always helpful. I come very often to Zapresic and would definitely stay here again😊

The only disappointing part of our stay, was no wifi connection to the room which became increasingly problematic in making plans with family locally, and communicating with our Australian families.
Our accommodation really suited our purpose for visiting with family, and we were readily able to extend our stay. Staff were most helpful in the flexibility provided. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, and there was good access to a supermarket across the road, as well as the bus stop for travel to Zagreb.

Better heating. A chilly night. An extra blanket fixed it!
Excellent Japanese restaurant. Safe, secure parking next to accommodation. Quiet area. Reasonable size room.

The first room I was in had so many defects in the bathroom (door won't close because the door was hanging, ventilator kept working because someone smashed the light switch that turns the light on and off and ventilator at the same time, shower cabin was leaking, radiator leaking if you turn it on) The linen I was given was 100% synthetic which was horrible. I have complained and was moved into another room. There, the water was running so slowly that it was practically impossible to use both sink and bidet but everything else was better then the first room. The fact that both rooms have one small roof window is making them dark and there is no view. They don't offer breakfast which is pretty strange when the rooms are part of the restaurant. Ok, restaurant opens at 11 but if there is a will there is a way to make breakfast happen, right? Since there is no breakfast, to have at least a kettle would be nice. The fact that one is a paying customer (paying is at the arrival in advance otherwise I would be gone after first night) is not appreciated. I have mentioned all the shortcomings to the staff and the answer I got was: This is how things are everywhere in Croatia. We know about them but there is nothing we can do. Batak rooms was an excellent idea but realisation is horrible. This was an experience I don't want to repeat. I don't have photos but videos, unfortunately it is not possible to upload them as part of the review here.
The room was really clean. Not a speck of dust or stain anywhere. I have asthma and cleaning lady avoided using heavy cleaning products which is so rare. Usually, no one cares.

In our room were around 50 ants ! Some of them could even fly. We thought that maybe they are coming through air conditioning so we turned it off. Believe me, when is outside 25-30 degrees you want to keep AC working.... We almost passed out was so hot. Next thing. Shower. The shower door had some kind of whole though entire bathroom was flooded! Shower outside was extremely dirty. This dirt comes after weeks of not cleaning it. Disgusting. I was so disappointed of stay because I thought it was a good value of money, really nice place, peaceful... Shame
I loved that this place is one : restaurant, bar and hotel. Looks really nice, have a private parking, staff is super polite. However ....

The room was cold, the noises are extreme. We could hear everything from the other rooms and entrance. Sleeping was impossible. The heating was poor, we only had an AC. The bathroom was also very cold.
Good location, big parking, peacefull neighbourhood, the lady at the reception was wellcoming.
