Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt was a bit difficult to find and needed 3 keys to get into room and you needed to lock yourself in and out with a key on all 3 doors. Bathroom shower door was difficult to use.
It was roomy and well equipped. It had excellent air conditioning. Owner provided us juice and a couple of beers. Owner was accomodating. He allowed us to leave our bags fir an early check- in.

United KingdomEasy 10 min walk from bus station/train station and ferries - perfect base for day trips. 10 min walk into old town and to the beach. Apartment has 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen (stove top & microwave) and bathroom, great size for a couple. Host is a lovely, helpful man with lots of information to share and responds within minutes if you have any questions. Would stay again!

NetherlandsThe kitchen equipment is a bit worn-out, used for too long, might be a good idea to replace at least the frying pan. Due to that we were not successful to prepare the omelette since the frying pan got sticky and burnt.
Very central and perfect location in the quiet neighborhood. Clean apartment and bed sheets.

South AfricaHad an amazing time in Split staying at Apartments Calendula Rubic. The host and his son were very kind and answered all of our questions. The 2 apartments were relatively spacious even for 6 guys! The location was great and took about 6-8 minutes to get to the riva harbor.

Neven was a great host, arranged taxi, left beer, water and orange juice in the fridge. Apartment was spotless, plenty of cupboard space and well equipped. Cute little balcony and very safe to leave the balcony doors wide open all night due to sheer drop.

AustriaFeeling at home when you are on vacation is one of the best feelings you can have, and Neven makes the hosting and travel experience unforgettable. He was a great host, he treated us as royalties and gave us the best advices you can have to have a beautiful trip in Split! (Kayak, rafting, best island tours, etc.) About the apartment: it's clean, has a washing machine, iron and all you need. The balcony was so nice and you can see the sea from it. Beds are comfortable and well cared. If we are around next time, we will for sure repeat! Julen
