The room was stunning. It was a short easy drive from Zagreb airport. The free off street parking was a plus as we had a rental car. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was wonderful especially the breakfast that was included with the room. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Don't make our mistake. We parked in front of the hotel/hotel restaurant and checked inaroubd 8pm. During our check-in, we mentioned our car out front and even took turns going out to our car and getting bags. However, we were not told that the actual hotel parking was around back but was assured we could park out front. In the morning, we had a 36 euro parking ticket to deal with. Not cool.

The only downside is that the Chop Old House is a little far away from the Zagreb city center, but that also means that it is very close to the airport. If you were to take day trips out of the Zagreb area, or stay for a night before flying out, I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed at the Chop Old house for just one night before flying out early the next morning. We arrived late, and our host at the hotel was incredibly helpful right away. He helped us arrange a cab for our early-morning trip to the airport, made sure we had everything we needed, and told us a little history about the building. We had dinner in the restaurant, and it was one of the best meals we had in Croatia. Again, our hotel host was extremely kind and made us feel very welcome. Our room upstairs was extremely clean, and very nice. It was spacious, with a nice bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. We would absolutely stay here again if we were ever to take a trip back to Croatia!

Excellent hotel and restaurant near Zagreb airport. Modern furnishings in historic building. Spacious and comfortable room in quiet neighborhood. Waiter extremely knowledgeable about local wines and made great recommendations for wine pairings with our food. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to travelers who need accommodation near Zagreb airport. Great value for money as well.

Robert checked us in and was our waiter for dinner, he was the friendliest person we met in all our travels in Croatia. Great food at the restaurant. Bed was comfy, room was clean, AC worked well. Private spacious parking lot which was helpful to clean out our rental car before flying home — Airport was only 10 minutes drive early morning.

There is no check in area. You have to check in and get your key at the restaurant. Made for an awkward first impression and uncomfortable standing in the middle of a bustling restaurant upon arriving with all of our luggage.

We informed the hotel about our arrival at 2am, but when we got there, the front door was closed, and we had to figure out that we should enter from the back. The hotel had sent us a message, but we didn't see it until we were already inside. There was nobody at the reception, and we felt a bit lost. Eventually, a staff member woke up and checked us in, but the experience was unpleasant, especially with little kids. Additionally, we requested a later checkout due to the early official checkout time of 10 am, which didn't work well for us with kids. The hotel manager rudely charged us an extra 50 euros for the late checkout, even though the hotel was not crowded. This made us feel cheated, despite the fact that the hotel itself is a great facility.

Breakfast was good and portion sizes were really big. the staff was really accomadating, our flight was delayed and was really late for check in but the reception lady waited for us to check in. Yosipa from day staff also went out of her way to help us make our stay more comfortable. thank you.
