Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandParking completely overcrowded. Car charging station at the hotel next door would have cost over 30 Euros for 4 hours. Thanks, but no thanks. Pool was closed because it rained a little bit. Makes no sense what so ever. That part was a total disappointment.
Food was exceptional. Great selection for dinner and breakfast. Could have gone for brunch after breakfast as well, but had to leave.

United KingdomA very small gripe, the pool was saltwater. That said, after a few days, the kids climatised, and it didn't sting the eyes as much. Bring goggles.
Staff were very helpful and the hotel was 15 minute walk into the town. Short walk to the shoreline where there was a good range of watersport activities available.

United KingdomThere's not much I can list I didn't like about Crystal Sunny Hotel. There are a few shortcomings that needs improvement like parking. There were so many cars that it was impossible to find a parking spot. We ended up parking at a reserved spot one night because there was nothing else. Even the grassy medians were completely occupied. Other than that anything else was miniscule to mention.
The hotel is at a great location. It's near the beach surrounded by large pine trees. The lobby is clean, large and welcoming. It has a lot of sitting areas and even play areas for children and adults such as building blocks, a pool table and a foosball table. There's a bar to get drinks and enjoy on the large patio outside. The pool is salt water but no big deal because you can just walk 15 meters to Diamond hotel and use the fresh water pool there if you prefer that. The beach is a short 3 minutes walk from the hotel on a paved walkway. It's a pavement stone type beach with stairs but along the road to Porec you can find many smaller beaches that have small pebbles or large rocks if you prefer. You can rent suntan beds for 120 kuna per day. The beach also has a sandy playground with a small sea pool for small children. There's a train that comes every 25 minutes to Porec harbor where there are many places to buy souvenirs or have a drink or ice cream. The train from Brulo beach to Porec is 10 kuna one way! The walk is pleasant too, it's about 20 minutes. Now the hotel room...it was super clean. Beds were comfortable and sheets were changed daily. The AC didn't put out much cool air though, we had it set to 15 C° and it barely managed too cool the room. We got the farthest room possible from the lobby with a parking lot view so honestly I didn't think that part was fair for the price we paid. But the food made up for that. We had breakfast, lunch and evening snack which was an all you can eat themed dinner every night. There was so much food and it was all included in the price (drinks at dinner were for extra charge). A true all inclusive hotel with many extra amenities. The staff were kind, attentive and helpful. We had a wonderful time and the hotel and it's service exceeded our expectations. We shall return. Thank you for making our first trip to Croatia an unforgettable experience.

CroatiaAlthough it advertises as a family hotel not many activities for kids. There are some games options in the lobby and that's it. No multimedia room, no creation station or soft play room as advertised by the hotel...We found out that most of the children activities are in another hotel but to use them one has to make additional arrangements with the other hotel and preannounce that you're coming. Not practical at all for smaller kids.
The closeness and cleanliness of the beach is great, pool facilities are very good. Hotel restaurant is catering really well for the guests, choice of meals is excellent. The staff at the restaurant and cleaning service is friendly and helpful.

Czech RepublicThis hotel should have some "manager of customer happiness", who looks "behind the scene". The first day we came to elevator and other guest told us that 1 of 2 doesnt work. All 4 days we stayed nobody repaired it, even there was no sign like "out of order" for other guest to let them know! In front of the main door there was no lower path if you are going with suitcases on wheels. When you sit on balcony in restaurant, you see very dirty window sill. Really no one see this? When you go upstairs from front desk, mummy with stroller and people with handicap need to use barrier-free platform, which is in white colour and the desk is not signed to be seen better - I saw about 3 people to hit it strongly cause it is not well seen. This should be better under the Valamar mark...
High speed wifi was over my expectation. Lobby was very nice decorated, big parking place, super and clean beach. Staff in restaurant was very kind.

HungaryOriginally, I wanted to book accommodation at Hotel Valamar Diamant, but I thought it wouldn't be a problem as both hotels are 4 stars. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. This hotel does not even deserve 3 stars. The room's furnishings are poor, the bathroom door is actually rotten (room 405). You could barely get a seat at dinner and breakfast, it was so crowded, if we went later, most of the dishes were already sold out. There were practically no meat dishes. I went over to the hotel valamar diamant, where the restaurant and offer corresponding to the 4-star level awaited the guests. For my lover's birthday, this would have been a pillow-day relaxation gift, but it was a disappointment due to the quality of the hotel. It would be great if they could find a solution to fix this Best regards, Huba Ambrus

SerbiaThe exterior of the hotel could be updated and the parking lots reorganized.
The staff was friendly, the room was clean (linen and towels were changed regularly), the food was excellent, practically three meals. The hotel's courtyard is spacious with lots of natural shade where you can relax on the sunbeds. You can use three pools owned by Valamar (Rubby, Crystal and Diamond). As someone who travels often, I can say that this is one of the better hotels I've been to, and that's why I'm surprised by the bad guest ratings without explanation or with complaints that the hotel staff can't influence. Anyway, in my opinion the hotel is a perfect choice if you want a relaxed and quality vacation.

AustriaThere were too many dogs, also one belling in the room, next to us. People were not respecting the smoking areas but smoked where they wanted. Almost all waiters were tired and unlucky, we hardly have seen a smile from them. Chairs and umbrellas at the seaside were too expensive. And the showers with no water at the seaside were dissapointing. The music was loud and late at the neighbouring hotels.
We went there with higher expectations, however, the hotel, conditions and all were just average, nothing really bad, but also nothing really special. The food was ok, and the brunch up to 1pm was perfect. I loved so much the sweet cheese and water melon.
