Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaltaI know its peak season but 350€ for a single room 1 night. Greedy! €20 for the dog BTW.
The receptionist Leona. A wonderful girl who helped me with my dog. I would come back just for her :)

The photos online are not what you get. It’s outdated and looks like they work it really hard and don’t put anything back into it. We got there and got put in a room. It was tiny. There was a bucket under the air conditioning. We turned it on and it was like a waterfall. We couldn’t deal with it drilling all night. The lady at the front desk was great and understanding. We eventually got given a new room. The aircon worked but wasn’t very good. We couldn’t change the temp and got really hot through the night. The shower door was broken to top it off. Get like I was back at school in the cafeteria for breaky. And no ware near enough sun beds for the number of people at the hotel. We did find the front desk ladies helpful! Would not recommend staying there. Put a sour taste on our time in Cavtat

Bosnia and Herzegovinathe food is horrible. breakfast is very poor, there is no various of food and dinner is also very basic and food is tasteless. stuff and managemenet of the hotel doesnt care if you make a reclamation. i told them on more occasions that we are not satisfied with the food but they just dont care, they were like🤷♀️ on one occasion, member of the stuff told me that they just dont have various of food in the kitchen so they can not make proper meals, and that hotel is making savings with the food. also, i bought some food in supermarket for the breakfast.
just that is so close to the sea.

United StatesI had to pay the full amount at check-in (it was not a hold on credit card but full charge before I even entered the room). Food was horrible - poor quality, limited selection, awful tasting food. My kids refused to eat there after the first day. Room is very small, barely a foot around the bed to walk about. Restroom is the size of restroom in an airplane. Beach towels are not provided as part of service, unless deposit (cash only) was given.
Nothing other than being walk in distance to Cavtat, which is a lovely little town, and short taxi ride to Dubrovnik, which is awesome.

United KingdomThe room was extremely small and the bathroom was even smaller. The maid woke us up at 8am on the first day!! The pictures are very misleading…….especially the pool one it’s the smallest pool I’ve ever seen!! We had breakfast included with our stay but didn’t use it. We had a car and it say’s you need to pay for parking but you can actually park for free but it’s a bit of a nightmare around there!!
We stopped here for 2 nights as we had a car and we’re visiting Dubrovnik which is a short drive away so the location is good if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik and it was cheaper than most of the hotels in Dubrovnik. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe food could be better. And mosquitos nets should be installed on doors of the balcony.
Everything was very good, kids loved the pool and the program. We loved the location, the room was very clean, the view was perfect. And the staff, everyone was so helpful and nice. I must admit that I was sceptic for this hotel because of the score from other guests, but we diddnt find any of those people critics. Looking forward to be back one day.

United KingdomThe breakfast was awful. The outside space was very shabby and looked shocking on arriving back via the beach. There was no restaurant in the day and the decor of the hotel was dull. It was like a 1970s Club Med! Our room was too small, the bathroom was tiny and it was right near Reception.
The hotel was clean.

United KingdomRoom was okay but there are no tea/coffee making facilities, there is only one electrical socket if you want to use an adaptor plug, I did for my own hairdryer as the one in the bathroom is useless, it barely blows warm air! My phone wouldn't charge with my adaptor (worked everywhere else)! The evening buffet was awful, food was barely lukewarm, pasta dishes were all stodgy, meat dishes were dry! Breakfast was awful too, there was no tea other than fruit teas, there is no toaster if you like toast, we left before the cooked breakfast came out so don't know what that would have been like! I think it would be fine if you are there when it first comes out but its such a big area it lies for a while! If you didn't have a car you would be stuck at this hotel unless there are buses into town, there is nothing else within walking distance! The pool is small and boring although there is a nice pool for children
Hotel was close to the airport which is why we booked it, only stayed one night thankfully

FranceThe hotel was not clean and was not cleaned during our stay.. The hotel has clearly not been maintained for years; balcony was completely rusty. Breakfast was very poor and looked like a canteen of a factory. There were not enough sun bathing beds for the guests, one has to fight for them. And that for 300 euro a night! A clear example of misusing the need of people to have a holiday after Covid time. It is clear that the hotel chain tried to make up for Covid losses but that should have been done by means of open ing the new Albatross hotel (which was closed) and keep this old-fashioned, not maintained hotel closed.
The room was fine and the location near seaside were perfect

United KingdomThis 3 star hotel charged as much as the local 5 star due to COVID availability and the only reason we stayed here was there were no rooms at the hotel Croatia. The beach was tiny with no where near enough loungers and no room for towels. The pool was so small and so packed that we did not get in it. The breakfast was basically a scrum and the food was the cheapest sausage/ fatty bacon and solid scrambled egg. It was pretty much inedible. We had adjoining rooms which is great if you want to be able to talk to the family without using the phone as the walls are so thin. Everything was tired and old and the rooms themselves (balcony and sea view) were small with dirty carpets. At 8am the maid came in and turned on the lights without knocking or any warning. After 24 hours some rooms came up at the hotel Croatia so we left a day early and it was a brilliant move. It does NOT live up to the photos on the website.
The entrance has a great view but everything goes downhill from there.

SwedenThe things i didnt like were: -The room seems bigger in the picture than in the reality. The upper window was always opened so you couldnt keep the air condition inside. Also if you opened the balcony for something... the aircondition stopped working. Annoying. Instead that caused that every night we were attacked by tons of mosquitos and you could hear noises from the outside. At the balcony there was a plastic translucid that blocked the view if you were trying to sit and relax. -the cleaning... terrible. We are in covid and all seems dirty. First day my girlfriend found a spider net close a bowl in the dinning room (in the middle of where the food was served). Second in the room the sheets were dirty (picture) and we needed to ask to change it. Third... they clean the rooms at 14-15h! We couldnt rest after lunch. -the activities. Well, if you are not french there are no activities for you, sorry. Neither test or facilities. Well if you are in the lil swimmingpool and they are making activities (like aquagym) you can join them. No activities at night. -the food. The worst point. All is cold, too much done, seems like they use the same food always. Depend on the hour there is not all available. Well... they have a microwave that you can use... but believe me, salads, fried potatoes and deserts... that was basically our menu for two days as we couldnt find anything other that was acceptable. Better the snack than the lunch. Unbelievable. That was by far the worst point. -the swimmingpool and the beach. Little swimmingpool and there were not enough chairs for sunbathing at the beach. People were using the towels trying to reserve a spot. I expected much more for the price I paid, in all fronts.
I liked the people at the reception and the views, only disappointed that you could not see the views while sitting on your balcony, but standing up was beautiful. The bed was comfy
