Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere were dogs barking a lot and both nights we stayed there the dogs woke me up with their barking in the middle of the night. The massage was great but the masseuse needs better music. She played the same song . Every time the song was done loud obnoxious music began to play and she would have to leave the massage and switch the music.
The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious, the location was perfect, and the massages we got were great.

United StatesHotel is not 4 star quality; in desperate need of renovations inside and out. Playground unsafe due to rotting wood. Have xl dogs locked up in small concrete space. Kids room meant for toddlers.

United StatesWe had booked a room for 4 people and it was quite a tight fit and though they had slightly bigger rooms, they wouldn't assign it to us even though I asked and mentioned multiple times that we had 3 adults and 1 grown teen. We traveled with friends who had fewer people and had bigger rooms with poster beds, more bathrooms etc. The master bedroom had a sloped ceiling and we hit our hands a couple of times as we stretched. It was manageable since it was only 1 night, but it would have been uncomfortable for a longer stay.
Wonderful location, especially to Plitvice national park - there is a side road to entrance P3 ferry that you can walk to and not worry about going to entrances 1 or 2, pay for parking etc. This route was not advertised anywhere and the front desk folks told us about it. Good onsite restaurant with free breakfast and other meals (paid). On site mini zoo (they have dogs, rabbits, goats, pony, pigs etc) and play areas would be a kick for families with small kids. Staff were very friendly.

SpainThe bathroom needs some maintenance. Small details that I am sure will be fixed for the high season.
The hotel is located in an amazing place. Very close to the lakes and waterfalls, inside the wood! The facilities are great, a lot of things to do and the room was awesome!!

SingaporeLittle housekeeping but if request for housekeeping and cleaning - it is promptly executed Hotel is only good for those who are driving. The road to the hotel is narrow and winding so have to drive carefully. Still the stay at this hotel is worth it
It is a beautiful quaint hotel - close to the nature. It is also very close to the ferry P3 which will bring you to Plitvices Lake entrance 1 & 2 (for lower and upper lakes) The staff are very friendly and helpful Food is good Hotel is a sustainable ESG hotel.

Czech Republic2 floors to carry the dogs up. That you have to pay 10euro night per dog when they are smaller than cat. The staff in the restaurant was only speaking english. Restaurant was really expensive compared on the quality you get.
The hotel complex was really relaxing. And really close to the waterfalls. Breakfast was great. Alot of options and they fill it up all the time. Even if they speak english thay were really polite and nice.

GermanyThe rooms seemed a bit dated. The floor in the bathroom was rather porous wood panels - seemed like it had undergone a few repairs. The menu said the food was locally sourced, and that was also said in the menu, but it just wasn't that great. The burger seemed like it had been a frozen patty.
Cozy, rustic getaway within walking distance from the lakes, trails, waterfall, and the ferry. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and absolutely helpful! Added benefit - friendly local farm dog that runs around and keeps you company. The adjoining rooms with soundproof doors are great for traveling with families. Very convenient and quiet location!

HungaryThere was a big windstorm in the night and as the window shutter was loose and couldn't be fixed, it was flapping all the night and we could not sleep. However, the next day I asked the staff's help and they fixed it.
Very polite staff, location great as being close to a gate to Plitvice Lakes. Dog-friendly accomodation (we took our lab there) and great playing possibilites for our child (table tennis, animals etc.),

United StatesThe room was a little small for the price we paid. I would have like screens on the windows so that we could keep them open without getting mosquitos.
The restaurant and the food was excellent! The service was excellent. The atmosphere of the dining room was excellent. There were many choices on the menu and the breakfast options were fantastic.

United Arab EmiratesThe menu at the one restaurant on site was very limited and overpriced. For this reason, by the second night of our stay we chose to drive to a nearby restaurant instead of staying on site. The restaurant staff were not particularly helpful either (got our bill wrong twice and borderline rude when we questioned some food we'd ordered). Room service also didn't really clean our room - they just put fresh towels and folded sheets on the bed. There was still rubbish in the bins and other things that should have been cleared.
Great location next to Lakes. Nicely designed accommodation and nice 'campus' of the hotel. Very friendly and helpful check in staff who were helpful to guide us on how to walk the lakes and lesser known pathways!

South AfricaStaff was friendly but not up to date or accurate on some plitvice lakes boat information or getting around within the park. We also had a loud buzzing sound in the room that was not resolved during our stay.. but all the staff really are welcoming and proud of the facilities and made us feel comfortable.
Great facilities and spaces for smaller children. Restaurant offered good options. Room was large enough for 4 of us, one cot included.
