Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAir con wasn’t great. It was advertised as airport shuttle but this wasn’t right and we needed to pay for a private taxi

United KingdomIf you don't have a car, you will need to get taxis to Zadar. We knew this when booking so wasn't a major problem.

United KingdomThe bed was too firm for our liking and the pillows disappeared when you put your head on them. Maybe a shame there was no all inclusive option, would have mad life a lot easier in general.
The room was great, big and bright and airy. The food was exceptional, we had nothing bad in 4 days. We all loved the pool and facilities there. We played tennis, bowling and mini golf, all great facilities. 3 of 4 of us had treatments at the spa and whilst the seating at the start was a little odd, we had a lovely time and felt pampered! Cinema club in the afternoon and after dinner was a great way for the kids to get out of the heat for a while. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

CroatiaFood isn't a 5 star quality, the extra charge for lunch is really not worth the money. could be good to be able to sign up children for activities before arrival to hotel, on line.
Lots of kids activities, especially noce cinema under the stars and mini disco, comfortable rooms, nice Garden and swimming pools all clean and well maintained. Stqff is really nice and helpful. The hotel offers things that a family needs, especially with small children, small kitchen, small laundry room, all free and very well equipped.

Facilities are outstanding, the room was very large and with a very nice “submarine” style. Personnel was very kind and there is a large playroom for children. Dinner and breakfast (buffet) absolutely perfect for quality and variety. Absolutely perfect for families.

CroatiaIt take us a looong time to get to our room. The hotel is not the most kids friendly regarding the structure of building. The staff was not really polite and they were unprepared for the busy week. On the bill it was default "voluntarily" tip of 10 euros/day.
It was clean, the food was great

Austria1. There were no places one could get some peace and quiet as an adult. It’s a family hotel, but parents are also part of the family. 2. The entertainment for the kids was rather average, they wouldn’t take particularly time for small children that had a hard time adjusting to the environment.
Extraordinary facilities for the kids.

SwitzerlandThe rate of over EUR 700 per night is exaggerated for what the hotel offers (full board should have been all inclusive at least). The facilities are nice but deserve the rating between 3 and 4 stars. At check-in half of our baggage was forgotten at the bench outside so we had to look for it. At check-out we waited more than half an hour for the car, and then the different car was brought to us. Lunch options are poor. Parking was paid extra, which should have been included in the price. Beaches are shabby, with plenty of dry uninviting places between the beach and hotel. The hotel pool gave me the herpes on the first day. Overall, the stay was ok, but nothing exceptional, and we were left with the sour feeling in the end.
The hotel is pleasant, with good food options for breakfast and dinner, kid entertainment and wonderful staff.

CroatiaIn our Falky room the kid's room was very small and without any windows which meant the door had to be open during their sleep. Unfortunately the bathroom is right across it and it has no doors so using it while the kids sleep is a big challenge. The architecture of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired and should have been done more professionally. The tiny balcony has outward opening doors making the chairs almost unusable, the reading light next to the beds are too strong and without shades which defies their purpose completely, all light switches have an annoying blue light that makes the whole room glow with a bluish hue during the night. The sinks are too high and too deep for a smaller child to use and not having doors in the bathroom is pretty uncomfortable. There is a significant extra charge for the mandatory parking garage (9EUR) which seems a little unfair since the hotel is on the more expensive side and it should be included in the price since there is no other option for cars and the resort is very remote so other means of transportation are a very inconvenient, if not impossible. The pools could be cleaner, specially the ones for very small children.
Nice family hotel with many attractions for the kids of all ages. Breakfast and dinner buffet selection is abundant and a 24 hour baby room with all necessities is a nice touch.
