Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenReally nothing that bothered me that much but sure, the bathroom could perhaps use some updating and I can imagine that in high season there might be late night noise from nearby reastaurants due to its location but this time of year everything closed relatively early and the hotel itself was very considerate. 7 AM church bell, the occasional boat and the sound of crashing waves, I only found soothing.
Intimate "old world" family run hotel, perfectly located in the harbour with a room facing the Ocean. Extremely nice owners and staff who went out of their way to make sure I was comfartable and to meet my every need. We became nothing short of friends. Perhaps I was unusually lucky. Lovely room with high ceilings and a comfortable bed with a spartan soothing interior. They made dinner for me, beyond what was on their otherwise limited menu. Best hotel playlists (when having drinks or dinner on the terrace) ever, in my view. I will treasure my memories from my stay here forever and hope to return.

We had a wonderful week in this little hotel, right on the main esplanade with an amazing view of the sea. The breakfasts were tasty and healthy, and we loved the bread selection. This is a family run business, and we got many tips about the island for walking, etc. Totally recommend. We'll be back!

United KingdomLovely family run hotel. Our room had exactly the view in the picture- the sea is so close you can hear the waves lapping on the shore at night! Even does free laundry! Staff are super helpful and the breakfast was good. Hotel is situated right where you get off the ferry and close to the restaurants. We did have a dancing performance one evening just below our room - you got a Birds Eye view which was great as long as you didn’t want to sleep before midnight but we found it a good choice for a family - very good value compared to other options and Lopud is a beautiful base for a summer stay in the area.

PolandNothing, we've had a blast staying at Glavovic hotel. Would definitely recommend!
It's a hidden gem. Absolutely amazing location, few steps from the beach. There are about 10 to 20 sun lodges on the beach that belongs to the hotel, so every guest has a chance to get one. The rooms are perfectly clean and are big enough to handle 2+2 family. I'd say our room was rather an apartment with two rooms connected together. The island itself is beautiful, everyone will find something to visit, from ancient fortresses to modern architecture symbols (Grand Hotel!).

Best location, right by the port and beside the strip of restaurants. Amazing view from the room. Nice breakfast. This is not a luxury hotel. It is a modest family owned hotel but has everything you need and is clean and great value for money. The owners and team working there are amazing and will do anything for you. There is lovely art and pictures of lopud all over and has a lovely traditional feel. It is a hotel with heart and charm and i definitely recommend

United StatesWhile not the fanciest, Hotel Glavovic was my favorite of the 7 different hotels and guesthouses I stayed in while traveling the Dalmation coast. It was the first hotel built on the island of Lopud in 1923 by the grand and great grandparents of the Pulić family, who still run it today, and it’s they who make staying there so special. My friends and I felt as though we were part of the family; mother Vlasta, father Luca and son Ljubo are the warmest hosts ever and always made time to sit with us, drink wine (or coffee) with us, and tell us about the island, the hotel’s history and modern Croatian politics - super fascinating! The location overlooking the water is perfect - very near the ferry and many restaurants, and I slept like a baby listening to the lapping of the water below. It is definitely not a luxury resort hotel (thank heavens!) but if you want a sweet, family-run small hotel with a lot of heart and soul, Hotel Glavovic is for you.

United KingdomThe accommodation is a little dated but don't let this put you off as it is clean.
Breakfast was simple but good. Our room was at the front with great views. Closing the balcony doors and blackout curtains provided a quiet nights sleep. With no cars on the island there are no noisy mornings. Good air conditioning. Good shower. Friendly owners.

United StatesI would have loved a fan in the room! We just went when it was so hot. Other than that- loved the stay.
We loved the location. It was fun being right in the center of all the action. We snagged the corner room with a view. It was fun to fall asleep to the noise of the town. In the morning and evening, the area is quiet and romantic. If you get the sea view, you'll love it. Breakfast in the morning is great. The staff is extremely friendly! This is definitely a highlight.

United KingdomLess than an hour’s boat trip took us to the Island of Lopud which seems to be a forgotten place. We had booked to stay overnight at Hotel Glavovic which is family owned. We were greeted by the lovely cheery owner who was delighted to see us as we were staying in early season. We were very disappointed to learn that the restaurant was not open as we had heard only good things about it. There are other restaurants to explore nearby. We had a lovely room with a small balcony and a view of the sea bay. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a fantastic breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the sea. The food was beautifully presented and cooked as we liked. A trek up and over the hill took us to a delightful sandy beach, well worth the climb. (You can get a ‘golf cart’ to take you most of the way). There we hired sun loungers and relaxed under a shady palm canopy. So lovely and peaceful with its safe, sandy beach. We really recommend a trip out to Lopud and a stay at the Hotel Glavovic would be perfect. Thank you so much for a lovely stay we would stay there again when next in Dubrovnik. We were sorry to leave.
