Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The personal touch is so lovely. Even though we arrived after midnight we were greeted and shown to our room. The beds were so comfortable and a great outside balcony area. The apartments are right in the centre near the old town with a great bistro and cake shop underneath. You had coffee, fruit and biscuits in our room with coffee and free fresh water on the corridor. The rooms are decorated nicely with quality bedding. Customer service is excellent 👌 and we will be back. Thank you for making our first trip to Croatia amazing 👏

CroatiaThe place it absolutely well located, the room is very comfy & the idea of the small dining area (microwave, water boiler, etc) it's definitely a plus. The small backyard it's lovely, you can sit & relax while you look at the sea. I definitely recommend this place, it's quiet, very comfortable, very clean, & the owner it's the sweetest.

United KingdomThe toilet seat doesn't stay up (not good for a man 🙂) and needs adjusting. It's difficult to wash up as there is no running water in the kitchen area.
The apartment overlooks the harbour and is close to all the main sights in Zadar it is also close to the main footbridge across to the new town. The ferries pick up within a 15 minute walk. There is a nice patio area which is a real suntrap. The undercover "Dining room" is handy. There was a nice bowl of fruit waiting for us when we arrived which was a nice touch. The free coffee machine in the hallway is a bonus.

Very friendly host who went out of her way to accommodate our needs. Gave us a map and suggestions on what to see and how to make the most of our short stay. Large terrace with harbour view. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Coffee Machine in corridor, fruit, beer fruit juice and snacks in kitchenette area. Some traffic noise in the twin room but excellent shutter blinds and windows which blocked out all sound at night.

BangladeshThe WIFI signal was not very good, there is a booster at the end of the hallway but only really works if you are in your room (as close to the door as possible), if you go to the breakfast area attached to the room or the balcony/terrace the wifi is almost unusable.
The room is as advertised, nothing special but has everything you need for a comfortable stay and very good value for money. Amenities such as toiletries and drinking water are provided, the bathroom is small but the shower is very good, everything in the room worked pretty well. The host is a lovely lady, very friendly and welcoming and keeps the place very clean and organized. Location of the properly is also outstanding.

United KingdomDriven by the question What's not to like. The position is excellent for short or longer stay there is everything that is needed. The bus to the airport is near by. The hosts are experience and available in person on site if needed and the and good restuarants are 3 minutes away.
This is our home from home. Not sure how many times we have stayed with Goranka and Gino. But its position ,especially if you are driving, has to be unrivalled. The balcony and private terrace have been improved in Room 3 which had 2 single beds. The adjacent room had a double bed with similar decor.

Romaniamaybe some blinds for the kitchen...
Owner left a bottle of wine, a beer, fruits and cookies, also coffee was available both in room (coffee filter) and on the hallway (Nespresso machine). Terrace was big and full of plants, facing the see. location excellent in old city. Great choice if you want to have a drink late evening and avoid the crowds in the city center. Air conditioning was great for the hot weather...

FranceWe had a great stay but thought the check-in and check out times were too strict (10 am is quite early and 4 pm is a bit late). However, the host allowed us to be a bit more flexible.

United KingdomI loved that it was a small personally run and loved property. Goranka is a fantastic host and makes sure you have a memorable stay. I was lucky and had room 3 with the terrace overlooking the harbour. The room was so clean and comfortable with beautiful clean bedding & towels. There is a coffee machine in the hallway which you just help yourself too and fresh water. Nice touches like apple juice and beer in the fridge on arrival plus little jar of biscuits and candies. The location is brilliant just outside the Old Town walls and great for the airport shuttle bus only 10 minute walk and also only a 10 minute walk to the city beach - Kolovare Beach. Fantastic restaurants on your doorstep especially - Bistro La Pegla just below the guest house & Proto Food & More 2 minutes away. Thank you Goranka for being a fabulous host.

The facility was nice. Goranka was a gracious and enthusiastic host, who gave us a orientation to old town Zadar. Parking is free in the neighborhood, and Goranka steered us to a safe parking lot a few blocks away that is next to a police station.
