Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaA little hard to find. It could have used a sign at the street.
Patio was so nice with the honeysuckle and garden bringing amazing aromas! Everything was very walkable and the place was well situated. The hosts were so cute and very nice! Though they did not speak English.

United KingdomAll good
The accommodation was in a great location between the Port and Old Town, a short stroll to both. The owners were very welcoming and surprised us with a crepe the first morning. Nice open terrace with lovely views.

United KingdomNot bad on the accommodation but just a heads-up to bring cash for payment before. All ATMs in Dubrovnik charge for withdrawals so it's best to get cash before arriving.
The hosts were lovely, they didn't speak English but we communicated fine. They were very sweet to give me some welcome cake and whenever they saw me sat on the terrace they gave me cushions. The terrace was really gorgeous, a lovely place to sit outside in the morning. The room has everything I needed and the location in general was good, in-between the old town and a nice port (on top of a hill so a real workout).

Check-in was easy but a little uncertain where to meet the property manager. They live their and were super helpful once we found them sitting on the patio to help. Gave us welcome cake and beers. Loved it.

ItalyDespite being really nice, the owners asked me to pay in cash and when I said I was not able to withdraw money it seemed to be a problem. They called someone from Booking I guess, it was not clear to me what was happening, as they do not speak any English. Everything was fine at the end and the bill was payed by the card I previously add on Booking.
The room is located in the house of the owners, who are really nice and kind. The room was quiet and clean, with a small frigo and a couple of cups and there is a back terrace available. The house is not so far from the old town center, it is reachable by walking and the route gives a beautiful panorama on the see.

United KingdomNo complaints at all.
We had an absolutely lovely stay here- beautiful room, spotlessly clean, with a lovely terrace. Ivan and his wife looked after us so well, with beer when we arrived, fresh blueberry muffins one day and pancakes another day. Great location, about 1k to the old city, and bus routes at the bottom of the hill if needed. Loved it, and would highly recommend.

United KingdomIt was necessary to pay for the room in cash on arrival - it was only from reading previous reviews that I realised this maybe a requirement, because my reservation details didn't say this for definite.
Lovely room with a massive double bed for one person! The owners, Ivan and his wife, welcomed me so nicely on my arrival and gave me plenty of time to clean myself up and sort myself out, before paying them (it was necessary to pay in cash). They were perfect, friendly hosts and couldn't do enough to help, plus I was given a generous piece of home-made pie on my arrival and yummy pancakes for breakfast one morning. Lovely location but expect uphill and downhill walks to get anywhere if don't use the local bus service (old town - 25min; bus station - 30min; airport shuttle bus - 15min).

United KingdomIvan and Inka are the loveliest older couple, on arrival we were offered juice and beer, and one morning they provided crepes (which were amazing). The room was a bit more basic compared to some other guesthouses we stayed in, but we were out exploring Dubrovnik most of the time so it had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. We had access to a terrace which had a nice view of the city at night. The property is very close to a supermarket. It takes about 20 mins to walk to the Old Town of Dubrovnik and it's close to a beach too. Guesthouse Raguz offers very good value for money - we'd definitely stay again just for Ivan and Inka alone! NB it is a cash only property, but there's plenty of ATMs nearby.

ArgentinaLovely guesthouse run by Ivan and his wife. It’s located on a hill so very quiet during the day and at night, and with very nice views of Dubrovnik. The room was spacious and the shower was excellent. The lady offered us some handmade delicious pancakes for breakfast! On our second day, she proactively gave us two umbrellas which turned out to be of really good use. She was like a mom looking after us. Recommended!

United KingdomIt was a little dated but that really didn't matter 😊
Very friendly and happy hosts with a lovely garden and terrace. Clean and comfortable large bed. Perfect for our 2 night stay it was a 15 minute walk to the old town, which just took you out of the rat race. Nice little drinking hole round corner called Roxys, that wasn't as expensive as the centre 😳

BelgiumAbout a 15min walk outside of old town, this is a perfect location for a quiet stay in Dubrovnik. The hosts are both superfriendly. The room and bathroom are clean and the airco is definitely a plus. Upon checking out the lady of the house offered me free cake while I was waiting for my taxi 😊. Safe neighbourhood.
