How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was a bit tricky to find the property but delighted when we found it was ground level entry, as we had been lugging our baggage up many flights of stairs. There was plenty of space for two couples. We dined at two nearby restaurants and can recommend - Lola and Bakra.

It would have been very helpful if Zrinka had given us a manual with instructions, tips, maps.
The location was incredible- close to everything we wanted: the beach, old town, supermarket, the ferries. We had many questions upon arrival and Zrinka was very responsive each time.

The house is in a very good location, in a cozy little street. Near to the beach and old town. The house is well equipped, nicely decorated and clean. The beds are comfortable! We were very happy with the prepared lavazza coffee capsules! :) The owner was flexible about the early arrival.

Property not so appealing from outside - outdoor area could be improved. Parking is definitely a problem.
Great location - close to old town. No need to drive - lucky because very difficult to find a park. Clean with good upstairs lounge / kitchen area.

The only drawback to this property was the 2nd shower upstairs. It needed a door as you basically flooded the bathroom while showering.
Great Location! Pretty! Spacious! This two story, two bedroom, two bath apartment was in a nice quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the beach, the ferry and the train station! We loved being able to park for free right in front of the property and walk wherever we needed/wanted to go. There was even a lovely restaurant right next door. The grocery store, harbor and train station were just across the tracks— a 2-5 minute walk. There were several wonderful restaurants and bars on the beach just a 5-7 minute walk away! Having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was perfect. The bedrooms were on the lower level, so they were cool and quiet (without needing the air con). The living area and kitchen upstairs was super comfy and spacious. We did turn on the air con upstairs because of smokers in the area.

The toilets look dirty.
It is very spacious upstairs, there is AC throughout. It's in a good location away from the crowd but close enough to the city and transport. We had a good time! Host is responsive.

There was just one aire conditioning machine in the hall, that was used to cool down the 2 bedrooms. There is no air conditioning machine directly in the bedrooms.
Place was in great location, in a calm neighbourhood 5-10 minutes away from the busiest areas. The host was super friendly and did everything possible to make our stay batter (was helpful with hand-over of keys, coordinating a taxi for us, giving recommendations...)

Although the building looked old, it was spacious and clean inside and everything was well-equipped. The location is so good. I'll definitely visit again. It just takes 6 minutes on foot to the palace.

air conditioning - one in living area and one in hallway both set at 17 degrees and both struggled- bedrooms didn’t have aircon so doors to rooms needed to be kept open to get any air from one in hallway. shower upstairs too small
