The building was in the middle of the forrest. It was nice and silent, perferct for rest. The owner was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and they could get gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk to my girlfriend

Beautiful and homely place with view of the mountains and flowers everywhere. Not to mention your honey at breakfast comes from the bees they keep. Thom (I hope I got the spelling right) has lots of insider tips to Plitvice, and was a wonderful host. Please opt for the dinner onsite, it was super delicious.

Cannot skip staying here if you plan to visit Plitvice national park! It was incredibly accessible and convenient to park entrance 2. Our host, Tom, made the *most* incredible dinner, multiple delicious courses, one made fresh on his self-made wood-fired stone grill on the property. Breakfast was also amazing. Very peaceful surroundings and a no-frills but clean and comfortable room for the night. Can’t recommend it enough!

The bathroom could be a bit better. There was a bit of a foul smell coming from the drain but nothing unbearable.

Such a beautiful house with very green surroundings. We stopped here for one night before heading for a day around Plitvice National Park which is only 12 mins away by car. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The owner made us feel very welcome and we had a lovely homemade dinner. Breakfast was also great.

The shower door did not shut completely and some water leaked on the bath room floor.

The property is situated very close to Plitvice lakes and is very quiet. You can relax by listening to birds singing! The host is very friendly, makes an amazing coffee and you feel like home . The rooms are very good size , hot water at discretion and you can have delicious breakfast and dinner on request.

Tom was a great host and a wonderful cook. The rooms weren’t fancy but provided everything we needed for a short stay. The location is great for visiting the Lakes National Park.

I was looking for a rural, quiet and welcoming place to stay and House Izvor was just that! It is a beautiful place and the host is so kind and welcoming. It was a treat to have breakfast on the terrace in the April sun, and the dinners, home-made by the hosts, were delicious too.

What a truly magical place to stay after visiting Plitvice national park. Tom is a wonderful host and his gardens and property are a delight. Breakfast was fantastic - such a skillful host as well as being gifted in the kitchen- best fried eggs and espresso coffee I’ve had in a long while

The dinner was good but they could make kids a bit more reasonable. I was charged €25 for dinner and €10 for my daughter as well. Perhaps smaller portion for kids and charge less to minimise the food waste would be more ideal.

The owner was very helpful and accommodated our needs. The property is well maintained and the owner was always making sure we were happy.

House Izvor is a very beautiful home stay run by a couple.. the location is jus a couple of miles from the famous Plitvice lakes national park.. it was a very peaceful stay…

A lovely and peaceful location hosted by the amazing Tom! We had the dinner on both evenings we were there (don’t forget to book) and at €25 per person the 3 course meal was excellent value - although a few more veggies and less potatoes would have been nice! The portions were huge - we were totally stuffed by the end of the evening! Thank you Tom’s wife for the excellent food. Some drinks are included too including a shot of pear brandy. It’s only a 10 min drive to Gate 1 of the Park so very convenient.

We enjoyed everything at House Izvor, from the location, through the room and dining room to (and even above all) the incredibly hospitable and warm host. We had na amazing experience and we would choose this stay again without hesitation, we can only highly recommend it.
