Cannot skip staying here if you plan to visit Plitvice national park! It was incredibly accessible and convenient to park entrance 2. Our host, Tom, made the *most* incredible dinner, multiple delicious courses, one made fresh on his self-made wood-fired stone grill on the property. Breakfast was also amazing. Very peaceful surroundings and a no-frills but clean and comfortable room for the night. Can’t recommend it enough!

The bathroom could be a bit better. There was a bit of a foul smell coming from the drain but nothing unbearable.

Such a beautiful house with very green surroundings. We stopped here for one night before heading for a day around Plitvice National Park which is only 12 mins away by car. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The owner made us feel very welcome and we had a lovely homemade dinner. Breakfast was also great.

The shower door did not shut completely and some water leaked on the bath room floor.

The property is situated very close to Plitvice lakes and is very quiet. You can relax by listening to birds singing! The host is very friendly, makes an amazing coffee and you feel like home . The rooms are very good size , hot water at discretion and you can have delicious breakfast and dinner on request.

I was looking for a rural, quiet and welcoming place to stay and House Izvor was just that! It is a beautiful place and the host is so kind and welcoming. It was a treat to have breakfast on the terrace in the April sun, and the dinners, home-made by the hosts, were delicious too.

What a truly magical place to stay after visiting Plitvice national park. Tom is a wonderful host and his gardens and property are a delight. Breakfast was fantastic - such a skillful host as well as being gifted in the kitchen- best fried eggs and espresso coffee I’ve had in a long while

The dinner was good but they could make kids a bit more reasonable. I was charged €25 for dinner and €10 for my daughter as well. Perhaps smaller portion for kids and charge less to minimise the food waste would be more ideal.

The owner was very helpful and accommodated our needs. The property is well maintained and the owner was always making sure we were happy.

Tom, the host is one of those exceptional human beings that are rare these days..House Izvor makes u a member of the family even if u are there for only a night..Tom picked us up from the bus station and also dropped and picked us up from the Lakes both the days we were there, for a nominal charge...Do not miss the food at Izvor.. especially the Dinner cooked by Tom..the facilities are homely and adequate but what makes this place awesome is the hospitality

A lovely and peaceful location hosted by the amazing Tom! We had the dinner on both evenings we were there (don’t forget to book) and at €25 per person the 3 course meal was excellent value - although a few more veggies and less potatoes would have been nice! The portions were huge - we were totally stuffed by the end of the evening! Thank you Tom’s wife for the excellent food. Some drinks are included too including a shot of pear brandy. It’s only a 10 min drive to Gate 1 of the Park so very convenient.

nothing - it was all great

Our host and hostess were extremely nice and friendly. We were able to drop our luggage off early so that we could visit the Plitvice Lakes National Park. We stayed 2 nights and the breakfasts were fabulous. We also decided to have dinner at their restaurant on site and the food was excellent (note that you have to pay for food with cash not a credit card). We felt so welcome! The room was reasonably large and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. House Izvor is about 3 or 4 kms from Entrance 2 to the Park back off the main road and quiet. Our host gave us some much appreciated advice on which paths to take in the park for good views as well as a town to visit on our drive to Zagreb after we checked out. The wifi worked well.

Dinner is superb! Delicious food, served freshly made. Intimate, personal and friendly service. Thomas is a great host, and he cooks your meal too, like having a personal chef! The bed sheets are nice and crispy clean, quiet place and lovely farm yard. Just a beautiful relaxing place after all the hustle and buzzing sounds of the cities and tourists places we've visited.
