Might be that we are a little clumsy, but we couldn’t find a bottle of complimentary water granted at check-in. We were a little bit surprised by the surcharge for our dog (29€), which we consider exaggerated, especially as there is no service for the dog included, like a dog bed and a bowl for water, as it is practice in many hotels which charge for a pet. Extra charges like this should be made clear at the time of booking.

We were welcomed warmly by a receptionist. Although the building could stand some classy restauration, you can still feel the majesty of the place from imperial times. Our room was on the small side, but impeccably clean, nice and with comfortable mattresses. We didn’t regret to take a dinner at hotel but we enjoyed variety and quality of food served at breakfast buffet a lot. Breakfast is something you really shouldn’t miss if staying there.

Please change the pillows, they are incredibly bad, or at least buy 10 ergonomic pillows and offer these as an option. I lost sleep over the pillow. Second, I know this is a safety regulation, but my God, the blinking light from the fire alarm is blinding at night. I wasn't able to sleep because of it. Perhaps, if possible, rotate the fire alarm encasing, so the LED light faces the wall, instead of th bed. And too bad that otherwise excellent wellness doesn't have a pool, I would perhaps put a pull where the jacuzzi are, and put the jacuzzis where the relaxing sofas are.

Hotel staff, location, breakfast, cleanliness, spacious room, the view, all these things were excellent. Wellness was also really good.

The only downside was the a foul smell in the room bathroom coming from the sewage pipes.

Amazing food, we had breakfast and dinner, boths days we were surprised at the quality and the amount of choices. Everything was very tasty. Loved the whirlpool and sauna area, the room was nice and clean. The staff was very nice, special thanks for Vlado at the reception! Location is very nice, in the old town, right across is a beautiful park. And the cafe at the hotel has got good coffee for a fair price.

I'm very gratefull that I could spend romantic weekend with my husband in Heritage Hotel Imperial because everything was so perfect and we really manage to get away from busy daily life and just relax and enjoy! Staff: everyone was very polite, but not in a way that they were pretending but they are all trully nice people. They care that everything is perfectly arranged, so that guests can relax and enjoy without worries. Room and bathroom: clean, big, cozy, great mattress and many pillows. Food: nobody can stay hungry in this hotel! Big selection of tasty continental and meditteranean dishes. Spa: thank You Katarina for Your kindness and thank You Tomislav for best massages ever! Great space with whirpools, saunas and large area to relax. Parking is behind the hotel, Lungomare promenade starts one minute from the hotel, everything is in walking distance, stores, pharmacy etc. Also Imperial caffee in front of the hotel has beautiful terrace and great coffee and cocktails. Hope we'll come back again!

The mini bar is expensive

The location is perfect. The staff are very friendly and we enjoyed a very ample breakfast before making use of the wellness centre. We appreciated the room with a balcony and complimentary water.

The only suggestion I have is to make an easier entrance on the rear or side of the building that is accessible. The only entrance is through the beautiful main entrance with a bunch of stairs. Tackling stairs with heavy bags was not fun. The entrance is not accessible for people in a wheelchair.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and updated. The rooms are well decorated and the bed is very comfortable (firm). Breakfast and dinner were provided and it was a Buffet filled with everything imaginable: salads, soups, cold food, hot food, mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, grill! The hotel faces the sea and is just across the road from the nearest beach.

The Finnish sauna is very dark.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The breakfast and dinner were superb, as was the room, spacious with a very lovely design, overlooking the main street and with a view of the sea. When we return to Opatija, we’ll stay here again.

The only downside was a bit crowded wellness area - I guess due to bad weather.

We loved the corner room with sea view, the great staff (especially at the reception and in the restaurant - Andrej the head of restaurant was exceptional) and the top location.

It was really hot in the room and the windows were difficult to open (top floor room).

Size of the room was great and the bed was really comfortable. Also there was a lot of choice for breakfast and dinner. Location couldn’t be better.
