Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe appartments are really old and the bathrooms could be renovated alredy. At the pool there is not really much space for being there without renting the sunbeds and umbrella.
Large camping, directly at the seaside. Two nice pools, pretty quiet and calm area, good for family holiday. 20 min walk from Medulin city center.

SloveniaThe appartment is a bit outdated, with an old couch, very basic kitchen utensils and an uncomfortable matresses. Kitchen has a gas stove that keeps turning off while you cook.
It's a good location for famillies with many playgrounds, swimming pools and activities children can enjoy.

Czech RepublicThe apartment kitchen was full of ants that were coming out from some holes in the walls, the kitchen bench and furniture were old and not too well maintained. We had to be careful with our food not to attract more of those ants.
Kids enjoyed the camp site because of the swimming pools and also the kids disco in the evenings, there is a shop in the camp and everything was relatively close, easy walking distance.

United KingdomThe bad: The wifi works in the central areas (around the swimming pool etc) but doesn’t stretch as far as the apartments. The on-site shop is a total rip off… I’m talking £3 for a bottle of bleach, 80p for one banana, nearly a tenner for two chicken breasts etc. Avoid! On-site restaurants are bang average and also overpriced… they add ketchup to your bill if you want that for your chips! Apartment is really basic. Definite problem with the drains which caused the bathroom to smell really bad.
The good: Two really nice swimming pools, and in a decent location really close to the beach. The entertainment provided by the kids club etc is great- my kids really enjoyed the football tournament that takes place every other night.

Czech RepublicThe mattresses could be exchanged, a lot of people complain about it and we found them uncomfortable too. The staff were nice but since we had a no come in sign because of the dogs we had to ask after the 3 days time for the towel exchange and new toilet paper. They gave us 1 roll which could never be enough for 5 people for 5 days, we just bought it in the store. Shopping: don't bother with the resort shop! Terrible lines, overpriced goods, some things aren't priced - we bought 3 croissants and they were 140czk/41kn... That is rather outrageous for the price you pay for your stay... Go to Lidl (under 10 minutes by car) or Kaufland in Pula. Also the beach recycling all goes to 1 bag for some reason. WIFI doesn't work, the reception gave us the password but the signal doesn't reach anything past their staff buildings.
We love the area of Medulin, it was a short distance to the beach (good in some places, mostly rocky). It's not that long by car to Kamenjak which is about the most beautiful place to go there. The apartment was pretty well equipped, the AC worked just fine, the resort was calm as it's a bit further from the center of Medulin. We went with our dogs and it was a great place for them, definitely dog friendly, they can use the beaches (on a leash). We'd probably go back :)

HungaryIt looked, the camp site's facilities sometimes cannot serve the huge demand of the guests. Both in the bakery and the supermarket service was really slow, 20 or more minutes queuing were common during mornings.
The apartments are located in a camping area, near to the sea and facilities of the camp. It needs to walk few hundred meters to the seashore but there are many paths between the trees. Pools are very child friendly.

Czech RepublicMissing mosquito nets in windows. I had to keep killing them all night long. Or some RAID against mosquitos would be nice. The coffee machine not working well. From booking.com we had very clear indication about property characteristics, but it was not clear how far we will be from beach. Actually we were the most furtherest apartment house. Kids were affraid of spiders, but this is their problem :-)
All the resort is very aesthetically furnished. Flowers, tables, buildings, all fit perfectly.

HungaryBeach was not that nice but we could find beautiful beaches in Pula and in the surrounding.
We arrived in the afternoon to Kazela on a sunny day. Staff was very friendly. We reserved an appartment with 2 bedrooms. The flat was clean with airconditioner and a big terrace. We loves staying here. Shop and beach was in 2 minutes walk from appartment. The pools were absolutely perfect for kids. The animators were very kind.

Croatiafirst unplesent surprise was hotel staff - paying upon arrival, not on checkout. room/appartment was booked in May. on our arrival to room, old food was found in one of the dishes in fridge. there was no kitchen soap, neither no sponge for cleaning. and as most surprise was bathroom = no toilet paper, no soap and no toilet brush .. so we bought those stuff and leave for next guest. for a price 100 euro/person day = something needs to change
pool and restaurant haven't been to crowded, that's most likely because of much higher price then last year. both pool and restaurant staff only best, keep it up good people.

United KingdomThe neighbours of our apartment were disrespectful. The noise, especially above us, was extremely disturbing to the point of nearly sleepless nights. Would not recommend staying in an apartment, unless you have no neighbours.
The site was brilliant. Lots of activities and the panorama train to medulin Town was convenient. The apartment was very clean when we arrived, and had all the necessities (apart from a kettle). The staff at reception were fantastic, very quick check in and check out.

GermanyHad to ask for new batteries for air con but the remote still had a loose connection and would turn off The kitchen is generally not well equipped. No toaster or kettle or microwave. When I asked about a toaster I was told I could go and buy one (for a 4 night stay in an apartment when we are flying home!) Last place we stayed at in Croatia provided us with a toaster when we asked. There’s no dishwasher but also no sponge or washing up liquid or cleaning towels are provided so you have to remember to bring everything with you. We asked for a sponge and washing up liquid as we assumed it had been forgotten. We were told it would come the next day and after reminding them they said normally it’s not provided but they gave us some anyway (washing liquid was in several small sachets) The apartment was dated and in need of updates. A number of lights didn’t work and there were cobwebs in the door frames. The shower wasn’t clean and could also be updated. The balcony door was very difficult to open and close. The front door was damaged. You get a small bar of soap. Note there’s no shampoo or hairdryer provided. You have to pay to use the wibit inflatable play area in the sea and you have to pay to use the sun loungers and parasols (90kn a day, about €12) on the beach and by the pool. The slide is free to use, it seems this used to be charged but this is no longer the case (I would have been furious if that were the case!). There are two pools, one further away from the sea called an “infinity pool” (not sure why, usually this means the edge is inline with the horizon but this is not the case) and the main pool with a children’s area. Both are quite small so fill up quickly. The opening hours are 10:00-19:00. An extra hour either side would have been better. The beach isn’t really a beach but a steep (in places) stony and narrow beach. You’ll need to bring water shoes if you want to go on the beach or in the sea. It’s not suitable for small children.
There’s a kids club between 10:00 - 13:00 and 16:00 - 19:00 The restaurant Etien is good but gets full quickly so best to reserve or go early. The Captains Bar, pool area and restaurant have been recently refurbished Nice children’s pool which is partially covered with a sun shade.

Germany- Hotel charges you for everything (e.g. chairs and sunbrellas in the pool and in front of the beach, trampolin) , yet when air conditioning stop working in your apartment with 30 degrees outside you get a fantastic 10 EUR discount (and no appologies). This is insulting. - The apartment was not clean and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom - this is really a NO GO
- Illy coffee shop - Pool (except the fact that they charge you to sit there)

SloveniaVery small appartment. No microwave, no oven, too little kitchenware (3 small glasses, 3 small coffee cups, no tea cups, no bowls, 3 plates, everything in 3 basically). Wifi was very bad or non-existent around and in the appartment... everywhere else (like the beach, around the camp... it work extremely well).
It was close to the beach. The campsite is beautiful. Very clean appartment. Air-conditioning included in the price, free wifi. A lot of free activities for the children.
