Although the hotel, spa & beach facilities reflect the 5-star rating, some of the staff and their services do not. This may perhaps be due to the off-season timing, and a good portion of the staff being trainees though. A few examples: no help with baggage at arrival; very slow service at breakfast & forgetting the orders

1. The in-room entertainment system is too old and has a bad TV channel selection (no English-speaking movie channels). There is no possibility of connecting with my Netflix and Prime accounts, which is bad since we are in 2024. 2. Wellness opening hours: closing hours at 19:50 (when a staff lady with bad attitude tells you to leave the sauna) is not what makes me happy and is not at the level of Kempinski’s world-class service level.

The last time the lobby is great, the breakfast selection better than in Portoroz (only breakfast room is better their).

A better maintenance of the hotel and spa. It has great architecture, but if you don't take care of it properly is not nice to see. If you see somewhere the water is leaking, I expect it will be fixed in a few hours but it looks like it goes on for weeks untreated. If you see that the wall at the pool is too close to the water you put tiles immediately, not wait till the paint starts to crumble and you repaint it without solving the problem. If you see a shower in the spa not working you fix it immediately, not wait until stops working completely. Also, spa staff should check more often for silence and proper behavior in saunas. I would expect a bigger assortment of food at breakfast. Also some guests left the room service food in front of the door when they finished and that plate stayed there on the hallway in the evening and the next morning until the check-out. These are small details but they add up and take away the 5-star experience. These are just small things that could be improved with better maintenance.

The room were great. I really enjoyed it. The staff is polite and helpful. We got a great room. Overall it was a great stay. Thank you very much.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Beach is amazing (cut into rocks). It's great for family vacation. We received a free upgrade which was very appreciated. View of the bay and Piran from the terrace of the room was really something. You can sit in your car and explore around (and there's a lot to discover).

Considering a rural location of the hotel, it appears a little greedy to charge additionally €15-20 per day for parking.

This resort hotel is in an excellent location in Savudrija, Istria, near Slovenian border. It has a small made up beach and a golf-course nearby. The hotel is of a proper international 5-star standard, with an excellent breakfast, several swimming pools (outdoor and indoor), spa and gym, etc.

Thick sliced mortadella at breakfast. A big no no … Bad bed mattress. No double cover for couples on a king size bed. Charging EV for a fee.

Breakfast was very disappointing and needs to improve. Even some 4 stars hotel in Istra not to name them offer way more.

Some plates and glasses were dirty at breakfast. On the beach, the bigger sunbeds cost minimum 100€.

Cold water in whirlpools. The breakfast staff was sometimes rude. The hotel equipment is getting old and it is not what it used to be.

Childrens noise and dogs on the adult beach which is supposed to be quet, but after by complaint the beach manager solved immediatelly the situation

The beach is far away, you can not be on the beach with a small dog at least in a muzzle.

The hot tub water was cold. Sometimes it was difficult to find free sunbeds on the beach. Prices have risen a lot since last year (the euro probably has some magical power over hotel management :-) We spent the first night in a room adjacent to the building's noisy air conditioning machine room - the next day we moved to another room.

Clean maintained beach, clean sea, underground parking (hotel management finally understood that mandatory valet parking is a stupid idea).
