How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It would have been nice to get new towels. Everything else was super!

The location was very convenient in the centre of the old town right by the sea. The bathroom and bedroom was very clean top to bottom. The facilities, such as the shower, TV etc all worked perfectly. Moreover, the apartment host was very helpful and had good communication. Furthermore, the bed was very comfortable and we were very happy with the property we stayed in that we have no complaints.

I am sensitive to perfumy odors and there were plug-in air fresheners that were overpowering.

Nothing , the actual room was perfect, getting in was a bit of a struggle but was easier second time round . The Wi-Fi was a bit intermittent could be better.
The room was beautifully decorated, small room but very very clean , modern , had all the facilities that were needed for a short & comfortable stay and I liked the little extras in the bathroom .The bed was very very comfortable , large shower, The position of the property was in the middle of it all , easy access to all the shops , restaurants , and the marina was a few steps way . Well recommended for a short stay .

A little further to the beach than expected for the first line.
Landmarks, a bakery, a market, cafes, supermarkets, bot dock and an airport shuttle bus stop are nearby. It was easy to feel the atmosphere of the city and imagine yourself, albeit not for long, a part of it.

It's not beachfront. Other than this, was great. I didn't see a safe.
Location in regards to.town is excellent. Great communication. Lovely hosts. Fridge was a bonus.

It can’t be changed, but the block as yiu enter the room looks a little run down.
This is a beautiful room with a gorgeous en suite. Communication from Maya was excellent, with clear instructions on how to find and get into the property. Don’t be put off by the block as you enter the room, it is so beautiful inside and right in the middle of the old town. Highly recommended and I would return.

Maja is a great host! Perfect communication, great apartment and location in the heart of the Old City. If you come with a car I recommend the FREE parking at Marka Marulića 4. There were always free spots there that we could never find at the paid and closer to the center parkings.

Lovely apartment equipped with everything we need. A good, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The apartment was unusually clean, because of that we enjoyed our holidays even more! We had a great stay!

If I had to choose the entrance could do with a sign at the door there is one on the street but I'm being picky
Beautiful room very friendly and helpful host close to everything you need I saw some of the reviews before about it not been an apartment its definitely a room but in a apartment block I think that's the confusion it's more like an air b&b room

It was one of the best accomodation in Croatia, I’ve ever been to. I appreciate, that it was really good equipped (TV with netflix and YouTube (I haven’t used), fridge, small “food prepare corner” with boiling pot and mugs, plates etc., aircondition, hairdryer, windows with louver, clothes dryer etc.), it was super clean, which I also appreciate a lot. I would reccomend this accomodation and Zadar in general for girls, who travels alone, I felt super safe there. The owners took really care of me, reccomended me restaurants, cafés and beaches. Also the loccation of the appartment is great, it is next to the main Cathedral in Široká street (wide street), there is shop, pharmacy, drugstore, post and so many restaurants near, the beach near appartment was better, than I expected, natural, with benches under the trees. If you want to go to Croatia, go there ❤️

We wish the public parking provided a spot with a fixed daily rate (otherwise it was 12kn per hour!) Instead, we had to "re-park" our car . However, the host did accompany us from the parking area & even carried up our luggage. He was very nice & provided us with all sorts of info (where to visit, good restaurants etc..)
The location of the apartment was in the heart of Zadar. The interior was very modern, comfortable & very clean.
