Not a problem but I would recommend all guests to not carry/bring a suitcase. You will either have to walk up or down stairs to get to the property. This is not the hosts fault but you can also hear a lot of noise outside so I’d recommend ear plugs!

The location is superb, it’s located right in the old town so it’s very convenient to walk to everything. The host and his family were very welcoming and gave me recommendations for everything. They were very accommodating.

For those who are overweight or with leg problems may find the walk uphill (2 min) to be quite steep (from the old town street).

Jeffrey (hostel owner) is a kind person who invited me to join him (and his family) to the open air cinema. The hostel is super well located.

It just needs to few touches (bath mats, bits and bobs for more convenience), but if you ask the owner for anything you need he’s more than happy to help.

Kingslanding Old Town Hostel will be an unforgettable experience. The eccentric and welcoming owner Jeffrey, will make sure you feel right at home straight away. The location is unbeatable in the Old Town, so you will genuinely experience what it’s like to be amongst the atmosphere of the city. As others have mentioned, there isn’t a formal communal area. However, I saw this as a positive as the other guests, owner and I hung out in the reception and kitchen area for drinks. This also means you get to explore the old town, spending more time out and about as you should. This is hostel has a quirky vibe and lots of character. You won’t regret your stay.

Can be a bit noisy at night when you get the room next to the streets. Bathroom was not that clean but it does the job. No keys to lock your room which can sound a bit unsual but it was very safe and secure.

Jeffrey is a lovely guy and very helpful. The hostel is well located.

This place was ok but for the price (very expensive), nothing exceptional. Everything is old and not very comfortable. A lot of noise during the night coming from outside and also because no doors in the hostel dorms. The staff was supposed to give me a list of recommendations for restaurants, bars etc but I never received that. I was also not given a towel or a locker when I arrived (found out from other guests that those were included and then asked). I only stayed for two nights so it was fine but I wouldn’t have stayed for longer.

The kitchen was in one of the dorm rooms, there was just a passcode for entry that didn't change while I was there and no staff member present.

It was one of cheapest places inside the walls. Even without meeting staff I managed to access and utilise the hostel.

Noise level. No common or kitchen area. The noise from the hordes of tourist walking up and down the narrow stony canyon like street the hostel is located on, can be hard to bear until late at night. There is no dedicated common or kitchen area and the only available fridge in the hostell was on the last floor in one of the dorm rooms.

Location. Cleanliness. Staff. Building. View. The location was as central and as close to the entry gate as one could get in the old town, which was very convenient, but also very noisy. The staff - Milica, was exceptionally nice and helpful. Everything was super clean and building was authentic and charming.

it wasn’t a massive issue for me, but everyone else complained that they had to wait ages to see the hosts and be let in. I actually only met them in my checkout after 4 days! But they have a key in the lockbox and put the wifi code on the door and they are responsive to WhatsApp’s. there also wasn’t any common space so it was hard to meet other travellers

the location is as good as it gets, right inside the walls and just a couple of minutes from the Main Street in the old town.
