There is a problem with bugs and mosquito's in the area, so sitting out to enjoy a drink would be an issue, but that's not the hotels fault and just make sure you keep your window closed and enjoy the air conditioning.

A truly remarkable hotel, full of history, spacious and atmospheric. You feel like you are staying in a mansion house. Rooms are huge, beds massive, this is a very special hotel.

There was a lot of mosquitoes and with the very high ceiling of the room (I was not able to kill them) I brought maybe 10 stings on my hands...

Great breakfast, interior of the building is very nice, my room was not that good (maybe average for 4 stars, bathroom shower was leaking), but still doable. I was offered a garage for the motorcycle and I appreciate it a lot. Very kind service from the staff

Fast check in / check out. Bycicle storage :) The room and bathroom were very spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very confortable. Sheets, towels and robes were spotlessly clean also. The staff was very proffesional and nice. The breakfast was very rich with so many options ( ex : different kind of cereals and yougurts, milk, croissants, fried and scrumbled eggs , sausages, salami, cheese, jams, fruits and fruit juices ( apple, orange) , different kind of tea and coffee etc ) . Nice surroundings.we stayed at the last floor in room 301 and the view from the windows from the ceiling was really nice. Also we had remote controls to control the lights. We had a mini fridge and seif and also lots of storage places. We had an excellent time there and we recommend it 100 %. Very good value for money spent.

The first room was right next to the reception in the lobby, there was a lot of noise very early in the morning, speeches or the espresso machine .. that woke you up, internet ok, pet friendly but I think it is a lot to charge 10 € per day since they clean the room only once in departure, the second room did not have internet because it was on the second floor, at least it was quiet and we did not wake up from 6:30 😏

worst experience ever. Room was 30c. Without a working airconditioning. The room was full of bugs. The only way how we could resolve the situation was by opening the window. Which was above the bed. Thus the light came in. Therefore we couldnt sleep around all. The shower didnt offer shower gel or any soap. The promised mini bar was empty and not even on. As well the shower was in bad shape. The breakfast was also very poor. Instant coffee for example. All and all no idea how this is deemed a 4 star hotel. Never ever returning here

We booked the 110 euro room in this four-star hotel to get a good night's sleep and enjoy the ambience of this recently restored building. It wasn't very pleasant. We were given the room next to the reception. We could hear all the phone calls and conversations. The worst was the Slavonian party that started at 20.00 and lasted till midnight. The guests are supposed to be quiet after 22.00 hours but they themselves make exceptions for parties. How stupid! I book a hotel (and this time an expensive category hotel) because I need sleep. The hotel made it impossible for us to sleep. The music and shouting were way too loud. I cannot understand why they allow this. The receptionist s told me that partying is a Croatian custom and Croats love to party.(you do not have to explain, I have been living in Croatia for 10 years now) I asked her to come up with a solution for my 9-year-old son who needed to sleep. She did not offer us a solution. We booked this place because this party culture is common practice in most Balkan hotels. I truly hoped this four-star expensive hotel would be an exception on a weekday after Christmas. My hope was again in vain. If you run a hotel like this you should really consider the comfort as of your guests as a top priority but they were obviously not interested in it. When the music finally stopped at 23.00 hours the cleaning and midnight conversations started. The breakfast was another disappointing experience. Even in 3-star hotels, you get better options and choices. Powder coffee in a sachet and add yourself some hotel water was the limit for me. Never again!
