How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The location is great, very close to Plitvice lakes and national park, also there are good pizzeria and supermarkets just a few mins away. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and cosy. The place had a good dining area with a great collection of tea and coffee. The hosts were very nice, they also explained to us the best way to explore Plitvice since we had a small baby. Highly recommended

Gorgeous facility and setting - idyllic and stunningly beautiful. The hosts were kind and welcoming. The rooms were beautiful with top quality furnishings. The beds were so comfortable! We want to go back!!!

There could have been a sofa or comfortable seating to lounge or read. I can’t think of anything else that could have made things better. Really great place.
We enjoyed sitting in the breakfast room / sun room and playing cards. Having a cup of tea. We also appreciated the helpful advice from the owners. The entire place was exceptionally clean. The whole area is stunningly beautiful.

Only issue were the blackout curtains. They were not very blackout and light came in from 6 am.
The property was beautiful, friendly staff. New apartments and clean. Also free parking and close to the Plitvice Lakes

All was good, exceptionally clean. We were the only ones staying since it was pre-season. You have shared kitchen to make tea, coffee etc. Location is very good just few kilometers from 2nd entrance to Plitvice Lakes park. The hosts were very nice and communicative. There is some place to play voleyball.

Lovely, very comfortable accommodation few minutes away from entrance 1 and 2 of NP Plitvice lakes. Serene green surroundings, a little away from the main road so there is zero noise. Hosts are very accommodating and made sure we had a pleasant and restful stay. Great value for money!

Cute and cozy room. Best was super comfy and the room was quiet. Very close to Plitvice National Park. Breakfast was fantastic, large selection of items and very tasty. Easy checkin and the host was very friendly. Would stay again!

The only thing, and it may be because we only stayed for 1 night, but we felt we didn't really receive a warm welcome or have much interaction with the owner. It was really transactional which was a shame for what appears to be a family run business and not what we experienced in other places we stayed during our Croatia road trip.
Spacious room for a family of 4 travelling together. Great location close to the national park. Perfect for a one night stay. Really good to be able to have an evening meal there and the dinner was good. After several stays in old towns around the country with challenging parking it was great to have parking right outside the property!

Our room was right next to the front door and dining area which did mean we heard people coming and going and starting breakfast.
A well thought out room with modern facilities. Good for a family of four.

I think breakfast should be included in the price of the room
Beautiful location near to Plitvice National park entrance 2. Very comfortable room and immaculately clean. We had dinner there the first night which was delicious and well worth the money.

The cabin is really cousy, with a clean room with a view. It has a lovely garden and it is really close to the lakes. If you want to have luch or dinner there is a bistro 10 minutes drive with great food.

Location would not be suitable for travelers without a car- it is quite isolated from any towns.
Lovely guesthouse with comfortable room. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, having a quiet area to sit outside to eat gave it a really quiet, rustic and homely feel. Not far from entrance to the lakes- short drive.
