How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was only portable refrigerator in the room, very small and if you want to drink cold drinks you have to buy them from the stores nearby or from the hotel bar.
The food, breakfast and dinner, were different every day and for every taste, location of the hotel (the center of Lumbarda), the staff, Katarina, Ana and Jelena were very kind, positive, hard working and they made our stay much better and pleasant. The room was clean and it was cleaned every day. We had parking behind or in front of hotel. Two big stores were on two minutes walking (Konzum and Studenac) from the hotel. The beaches Vela Przina and Bilin Zal are on 15 mins walking distance. Korcula old town on 10 mins driving. Everything was great. The prices of drinks in the hotel bar were very normal and acceptable.

Mixing different types of meats for breakfast (chicken sausages and pork sausages were on the same trey). At dinner food was not labeled, was it pork or not. I do not know if they have much muslim guests but thats like a big deal for muslims. All though I have to give credits to chef, she was very assertive and helpful in that matter. One night with all pork meals she made us a fish and fries :)

Parking was sometimes difficult to get.
Great location, nice room, parking included. Meals were like great home cooking.

The mattress was too hard for my taste but that's personal opinion
Very helpful staff and varied breakfast counter is for sure a plus point. Good location in front of the sea in Lumbarda waterfront.

Parking was little bit crowded but that is to be expected when you coming during the peak of season.
Nice sea side hotel, helpful staff and great breakfast. They did go out of their way to make good on our request that they didn't had to. Very good experience. Special praise to front desk ladies! If you can, choose room with sea view

Lack of transparency and clear communication with staff. We reserved a parking space - there was no parking space for us when we arrived. We reserved a double bed - they pushed two single beds together for us.

Drab outdated interior; no view from 1st floor balcony (obscured by roof below), dirty outside balcony, breakfast - not even a cup of tea. Next to noisy bar.

Hotel personnel was great! So so friendly and helpful. Location is very good, close to beaches, grocery, wineyeards and is in such a nice bay! Great view from the balcony. Family room was great with two bedrooms and really nice air conditoning. Warm recommendation!

The facility felt like a flashback to Yugoslavia - the “new management” needs to more than repaint; the place needs a full renovation.
The guy at the front desk was awesome - good management with respect to customer service.

Hotel is situated first row to the sea which was amazing, Lumbarda is really nice town also people who lives there it was so nice. Staff at hotel is really good they help us with everything also they make this place like a home so warm and welcoming. Breakfest wasnt la carte because hotel just open but it was even better then a lot of other hotels, our room was really clean we couldnt find any mistake. We are getting back again for sure, we already book room for July. It was great!!

Best stay ever. Everything was impeccable. The room was very clean and comfortable. The property is very well maintaned. Breakfast was amazing with a large variety of meals. The staff was friendly and helpful and so was the manager. They introduced us to the island and informed us about everything. Also the location is next to the sea with an astonishing view. We will definetely be coming back to this hotel.
