How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location was close to restaurants and sightseeing. The hotel was clean and we liked the coffee/tea complimentary facility to be able to use.

Breakfast was good but limited in choices.
Lovely boutique hotel located in the city center within easy walking distance of major sights. Rooms nicely appointed and quiet. Rooms either look toward the street to to alley so inquire about room location before booking. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

Nice, clean room, good location, friendly and helpful staff. Nice bed, linen, shower, towels. Fridge in room with minibar included.

The receptionist Ivana is very helpful and we really appreciate her service. We stay for 2 nights with a short break in between. The location is a short walk near the town square.

The street outside can be a bit busy and noisy.
Great location, walking distance from Jelacic sq. Breakfast was plentiful. Rooms are comfy spacious. Staff were super nice and friendly!

Greatest place and location. The reception ladies made my stay just fantastic! They are welcoming, friendly, always ready to help and professional! Loved everything about the hotel. Clean and spotless! Would recommend to all!

Breakfast was fine, but quite limited in selection.

The Hotel is at a walking distance from the city main square, the rooms are soundproof and furnished with contemporary style. All the staff were friendly and receptive to our needs.

Everything was perfect
Everything was top notch, from the super friendly staff, to the amazing (perfect layout, spacious, super clean and everything is new and high standard), to the delicious breakfast which can be brought to your room request. I am very happy that I discovered this gem in Zagreb, the location is perfect, it‘s central but still in a calm area. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

I didn't ask for breakfast but it looks like they're serving it to the room which is a shame
The shower, the bed and the location. The TV is also a good one because it's connected to Netflix, amazon prime etc

Really, there was nothing I disliked.
Splendid location. I was welcomed by a really friendly and helpful member of staff (I think named Mia) and all staff during my stay were equally helpful. Breakfast delivered to your room as standard. Exceptionally comfortable room.

I would love to see more of a Croatian hotel breakfast spread.
Location is excellent--just minutes to the central square, farmers market and more. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever experienced and the staff are the friendliest.

Very small elevator, at least 8 stairs that were not easy to navigate with stroller.

There's nothing not to like.
The room and facilities were good, nice coffee machine in my room, a spacious shower and a guest lounge across the way with more refreshments available. The location was perfect for exploring Zagreb on foot. Less than 10 minutes walk from the main square. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Mia (on Reception) who was full of friendly advice regarding places to go. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Manda to anyone visiting Zagreb.

Only negative was that the first 2 nights the air conditioning wasn't working properly so we had to sleep with the balcony door open. The issue was solved on day 3. If it would have been summer that would had been a big problem.
The room was modern and comfortable! The beds very comfy too. The bathroom was large and had 2 sinks so that was handy. One of the nicest rooms I have stayed. The staff was very helpful, polite and professional. Location was very good - 10 minutes walk from the main square. Lots of restaurants and cafés around.
