This property is on the third floor of an 18th century Baroque palace in the old part of town in a lively narrow street that connects two squares. It is an easy ten minute walk to the transport hub. On the ground floor there is an art gallery from where a broad marble staircase leads upwards and 53 steps later you reach the delightful accommodation.. The friendly manager kindly helped us up the stairs with our luggage at check-in

Location is so good, right in centre of old part of Split. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is beautiful - with steaming hot water.

You can hear even the smallest noises from the other rooms of the Palace, the whole room gets shaken when someone from the other room is walking, the cleaning person in the morning wakes you up by vacuuming right at the bottom of your door.

Needs a little TLC. Four poster bed frame was loose at one end (you could pick the top half off). Could do with an iron in the room and a few little things that could make this 10/10.

There were some ants present in the room - but to be expected in an old building, so it's not something I felt the need to address.

Kind staff - carried my luggage up the 3 flights of steps for me. Easy check-in and the transfer with Marko was a pleasure. The location was perfect and central to everything in the Old Town.

There was no daily room attention...no replacing towels or emptying tiny wastebaskets. And at 10 p.m. the first night we were interrupted after 10 p.m. by the staff guy (who himself had been very friendly and helpful with suggestions) who came on demand of his superior to ask us to show our passports to prove that the room was indeed ours. Probably wouldn't stay here again

4th floor without elevator could be a challenge, but not for me. View only to a very small inner yard, but not really important. I would have appreciated just 2 sets of plates, knives and forks and a water heater.

Location was fantastic - just in the middle of old town. In a historical building, where the rooms were renovated by modern standards. Air condition needed and worked spot on.

Was hoping that the bedding/towels would be changed at one point during our 5 day stay, however they were not. But otherwise no complaints.

The location is amazing - right in the centre of old town and surrounded by life, but the windows are great at blocking the noise so not noisy from outside. Plenty of recommendations provided by the property and a lovely charming room and bathroom.

There was an odd odor in the bathroom. Not sure if it was strong cleaning agents or a musty smell, but it was quite bothersome.

The person to let you may not show up at the time that you arranged, could be up to an hour wait. :(

I stayed at this place on two occasions. One night before taking a ferry south, and two nights upon my return. Overall, good location. I preferred the room the overlooked the passage way to restaurants and shops (first stay). Listening to ranting tourists had a certain entertainment value. Quiet could be had by just closing the windows. Beware you will need to climb a few flights of stairs. Consider it exercise.

Really comfortable room, the bed was great and the bathroom was good and all very clean, the building is right in the centre of Split really great location, the staff who showed us in took our bags up and was very helpful.
