How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Need more shelves in the bathroom for toiletries
It was very clean, front desk very polite and obliging, breakfast exceeded our expectations and it feels safe. The layout of the room is very functional with adequate space for bags and things. It would have been fantastic if there were some shelves in the bathroom for toiletries! Near to the old town and 24 hour reception - needed esp wit late night arrival!

Nothing - perfect hotel for able reasons. Hotel staff organised our taxi to the bus station, 4 people, 4 big cases. Cost €7,60 We were charged €50 by a taxi driver to bring us to the hotel 3 days earlier from same bus station. Be aware taxi drivers are not regulated in Croatia and seem to be able to charge whatever they like!!!
The location was excellent. Very central. Breakfast, one of the best - great selection of cereals (9) - excellent fruit and yoghurts. Range of breads, croissants, sweet cakes, hot and cold meats etc. The room was very spacious, comfortable bed. Staff were extremely nice and very helpful.

Nothing. Everything was great. I would imagine, though, that staying at the front of the hotel would be noisy because of the trams. I was at the back and it was very quiet.
I liked everything. It was a 5 minute walk to the Old Town and near all the major bus and tram stops. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were big and the breakfast had everything you could ask for. Everyone I met at the reception was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The Red hop on hop off bus doesn't let you get off. This was a pity.
Super location. Tram stopped outside the hotel, which is situated on the main shopping street.1 stop away from the main central square. Trams run very efficiently every few minutes ticket easy to purchase in tobacco shop. Lovely local restaurant nearby very reasonable. Lovely coffee shops and strudel. I would advise booking a pick up at the airport in case flight is delayed.

No complaints. A great hotel in a good location and with excellent rooms.
Breakfast was good, great selection. The rooms are incredibly spacious and beautiful. Bathroom was also very spacious. The price was very good for accomodations like this. Tram stops in multiple directions are right outside the hotel and the city center is within walking distance.

Nothing. However, just be aware that the entrance isn't very obvious from the street - watch out for a big blue and white "parking" sign.
The location was excellent. Right on the street that divides the upper and lower cities with tram stops right outside, yet set back in a courtyard, so it is still quiet. The breakfast was a nice mix of items and staff made sure it was well stocked. The room was pleasant, with a nice big bathroom.

Very close to the old town. It has its own parking lot. Very polite staff - we were offered prosecco upon check-in. One of the best breakfasts we've had.

Conveniently located in the city center on the shopping street, near the tram station. Main attractions are at walking distance. The hotel offered variety of food for breakfast, the pancakes were my favorite! The staff was very helpful and reacted to all my needs. The room was comfortable and clean.

Excellent location for old town and commerce/shopping. Tram stop outside. Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. Good variety of cold and hot breakfast constantly topped up including local specialities.

Parking was expensive but that's probably to be expected in the middle of town. When we showered, water ran out of the cubicle and spilled onto the bathroom floor, leaving a watery mess (the cubicle door didn't close properly). But the latter was only a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things :)
Very good location, easy access to the old town. Great breakfast with loads of choice. Comfortable beds. Nice big bathroom and shower. We had a room at the front of the hotel (looking out over the trams etc), and while the double windows filtered a lot of the sound away, I found that ear plugs were needed (though I'm self-admittedly a very light sleeper). Plenty of parking at the back of the hotel.

I liked pretty much everything. My first night was in a room where the mattress was too hard for me. I was moved the very next morning to a room where I could sleep.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They speak excellent English and were always willing to advise. The breakfast was very good with a huge variety of items, hot and cold. Coffee was great! Location-wise the hotel is excellent. It is in the main street running through the centre of town. The main square is just under 10 mins walk and a tram stop for the less mobile is a few steps away.
