We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

RomaniaRetro rooms are next to the street and a church and the church rings the bell every 15 minutes, also in the night. Needed to stop the AC multiple times. It was just starting on it’s own and is also quite noisy if you’re trying to sleep.

United StatesMy wife has limited mobility. The bed was extremely low for her and she had great difficulty getting up on her own. A higher bed would have been a huge help. She asked for a spare mattress to make it higher, but none was available. Also, we are used to sleeping together for the last 50+ years, so sleeping in separate single beds was hard to get used to.
Location was excellent, especially overlooking the park. Included breakfast was a large plus. Loved the coffee machine, and the wellness room.

AustriaDespite helpful, the staff was a bit lost and didn’t know how to act in simple situations. Also, for the price, the breakfast was really really really poor. They gave us instant coffee and asked money for a fresh one. The variety of the food wasn’t the expected - especially considering the price we paid for the stay -, so that we had to stop on the road back to have a decent breakfast. There is a church side by side with the hotel, and they ring the bell every 15 minutes; it was impossible to sleep. After complaining about this fact, I heard from the staff that we had to take a more expensive room to avoid it.
The location is perfect, and the place itself is really beautiful and pleasant to stay.

UkraineThe hotel has an obvious problem with the vent. The kitchen/restaurant smell is everywhere and it comes from the vent. And you can't switch the vent/ac off yourself, you need to ask the hotel team to do it.

United KingdomI have been visiting for the past 4 years and in all that time the standard has gone down steadily: a) our family room didn’t have a working air con so if we opened a window (stuffy rooms) it beeped for the entire 3 days which made it impossible to sleep: b) the local church bells had been ringing every 15 minutes which again makes it impossible to sleep: c) the corridor and the room bedding smelled of food continuously so either you have to invest into a proper working air con or re-direct the kitchen smells elsewhere (try sleeping in the music room): d) at night the park cleaners made lots of noise so impossible to sleep: e) the menu had not changed for a long time and the food felt greasy and not value for money: f) PLEASE change the breakfast choices at least sometime, it is boring and unhealthy and uninspiring. The whole lace seems tired, not inspiring and it needs refreshing. Please get a new cook in and revamp the food choices, bring it up to standard the European guests require, it doesn’t need to cost much but you can be creative nevertheless.
Location is great and the staff service was good too.
