How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was as per the pictures. Everything was really clean and the views from the balcony were amazing. The appartment is less than 20 minutes walking to the town centre. We parked the car at this place and we walked to town several times because walk is really nice. We enjoyed the experience and we recommended to all of you who are thinking on booking this apartment, also Bruno is really helpful

Another guest took my beer from the commonly used fridge. So if you want your cold beer make sure you hide it well. ;o)
It was my second stay at Rooms Hvar, and I would stay again. Felt like coming home. The rooms are bright and friendly, the shared bathrooms spotlessly clean. The double rooms are spacious, but I was happy with my smaller single room with a sink, enough space to store my stuff, and aircon. There’s a terrace behind the house, so if you don’t have your own balcony you can chill there. If you’re interested in a heritage tour or a boat trip, just ask Bruno the owner.

Bruno was an amazing host. He went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, including complimentary pick up and drop off at the ferry terminal, advice on beaches and how to spend my time, arranging an island and city tour, luggage storage, and generally being available and responsive to all questions. The property was very clean, room spacious and air con strong. It was a short walk to the old town, very close to two grocery stores and walking distance to beaches and other amenities. Would recommend to anyone!

Perfect accomodation for a short stay. Bruno was so helpful and available to answer any questions we had. He gave lots of local tips on where to visit and eat etc . Would definitely recommend!

I took part on a wine tour and wasn’t told about the price beforehand. Still happy I took apart as I experienced a lot and got to know nice people while my short stay.
The room and common showers were very clean. Bruno’s hospitality is exceptional. He is very helpful and does his very best for his guests comfort.

Not far at all from the pier. Bruno and a lady whose name i forgot (I apologise) were extremely accommodating. Due to some travel issues i needed extra facilities and Bruno drove to me and supplied extra bedding, towels. extremely friendly. room was lovely with good AC and shower facilities were very clean. Couldn’t recommend more especially for the price

Best place we could have chose. Bruno was a great host, he went to pick us at the port for free and offered us rides around town. The place had a good location, everything was really clean, we had our own balconies with a gorgeous view.

The soundproofing of the room is poor. I can hear people talking next door or in the corridors.
The location is good and there are two supermarkets near the rooms. I love the room as I have my own Balcony! You can see the sunset from the balcony, which is astonishing.

Some times the other guests were a little loud at night but that was not the hotels fault.
