Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe rooms are a bit dated and it would have been nice to have a shower rather than a combo unit but that wasn't a big deal.
This is a great hotel with a good breakfast buffet. Located the second to last stop on the bus route. Quiet place to stay, loved the balcony and right on the water. The staff was so lovely and they also prepared takeaway breakfasts for us too!

United KingdomOK, now there are 2 things EVERYONE seems to complain about - the stairs and the breakfast. Honestly the stairs really aren't that bad...unless you have bad knees or just tend to avoid every form of exercise possible. Unless you have super heavy bags to carry to your room, the stairs aren't an issue. The breakfast however.... Eggs, bacon (tiny strips), sausage and bread/croissants - that's the buffet. Don't expect anything amazing. Don't expect anything delicious. There is salad... but you have to ask for it. Although you can enjoy a great view of the ocean while eating breakfast, the actual food itself is underwhelming. I actually decided to skip breakfast one day, because I knew I wasn't missing anything special lol Will try and add a picture. Besides the stairs and breakfast, the only other issue I had were that the walls were quite thin. I could hear my neighbours showing their love for each other one night. Only lasted three minutes, but still... I'd rather not. TL;DR - Stairs are not a problem, don't be excited for breakfast. Might get to know your neighbour's name before you actually meet them...
Honestly, great location. Away from all the hustle and bustle. You get a taste of the local area and get to wake up to the fresh sea air and beautiful mountain view. The bus (no.4) stops right outside the hotel (there is no bus stand, but it says "bus stop" on the ground). It only costs 2 euros each way (make sure you have CASH) and the bus stop to the hotel from Old Town is right in front of Pizzeria Tomato (check Google Maps). You can use Platanus shuttle bus (9 euro one-way/ 14 euro roundtrip) to get from airport to Old Town and local bus no.4 (2 euro one-way) to get from Old Town to the hotel (I couldn't find that info anywhere on Google - now you have it.) You can also get hotel to organise shuttle from airport but the way I mentioned earlier is cheaper. Food prices in Old Town are inflated (I paid 22 euros for 5 pieces of ravioli) but there are a few great restaurants near the hotel. You can get pizza, Korean, Thai, Mexican etc.. plenty to choose from. Be sure to ask if they accept card before ordering... Definitely check out Chihauha, Shizuku and Fish Bar El Pulpo. Staff in hotel were very nice. Felt very welcome. Rooms are dated, but had everything we needed. Had a good laugh when we saw the hairdryer. The staff also gifted us some prosecco for my birthday which was nice of them. My favorite part of hotel were the hanging teardrop chairs outside the hotel bar. Great for getting work done, reading or just "hanging" about ^^

United StatesThe bathtub was a little narrow, but it has plenty of toiletries. Breakfast was included, it was good the first day, but the second day the vegetables/fruit didn’t look fresh.
A very nice hotel in front of the beach, 15 minutes from Old Town. The bus stops is in front of the hotel, you can find the bus schedule at the hotel’s reception. Staff was very friendly; they answered all our questions and advice on what to visit. We got a standard room with balcony and beach view. It was comfortable. We recommend this hotel.

NetherlandsThe breakfast was not great, and I'm glad I didn't go for the option that included dinner as the buffet didn't look inviting, and there were so many good options within walking distance of the hotel.
The location is great with easy access to Sunset beach and the promenade. The bus to Old Town stops right outside the hotel and runs regularly till late.
