How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

close to the entrance of Plitvice but still had to take the car so we still had to pay for parking i would prefer a transfer possibility included in the rate or for a small fee
quite area, very nice spacious room in a new building, common kitchen and rest areas on the balcony were a plus to enjoy a cup of tea and watch the stars!

The mini refrigerator in room made a lot of noise so we had to unplug it. We also couldn't get the ac to work...maybe no batteries in remote.

The noisy refrigerator and the smell emanating from the bathroom drain.
The communal areas, good sized room. The restaurant meal was very large and tasty. Very quiet and peaceful environment.

It’s a bit of a walk from the entrance but if you don’t mind it or have a car.. that’s not an issue in my opinion.
The property is in a ver quiet area and the room was pretty brand new. Loved it!

Basic and poor breakfast, no vegetables and a coffee witch was 99% water and 1% dilated coffee. I have seen comments from other guest that it close to entrance 1 and/or 2 of Plitvice. In fact it is 5-7 mins driving and almost no chance to walk, as there is no sidewalk. It was not a problem for us, as we planned to go by car anyway.
Nice large room with nice surroundings in the middle of the nature. Free parking spot. We arrived late 10pm and the hosts were nice and waited for us (but we announced in advance).

Honestly, nothing. It was great. For info Its located about 20-30 mins walk to the lakes Entrance 1
Modern room in a rustic Vila with great veiws. Mira and her family were exceptionally freindly and acomodating. Allowing us to leave our luggage whilst we explored the Lakes. Mira was also very encompassing when we discovered the restaurant was cash only and we had no Euros left, but she was more than happy and trusting, allowing us to pay back the next day. After a long day of walking, the big sharer plate of local Meats and vegtables went down a treat Her husband also gave us a lift to the bus station in the morning, he was very happy and friendly. Fantastic place to stay if visiting Plitvice Lakes Highly recomended :)

I didn't like that I didn't stay longer. I am sorry to say that there is nothing that we did not like. I just need to fill this in so that this review can be posted. I strongly recommend this place and...there...I'm done.
A wonderful family in a perfect place. We felt lucky to have stayed there. It is a shame that we could not stay at least one more night. I would strongly recommend taking a break from the typical travels, moving from one place to another and take some time here, get to know the people and the place. We took the time to have a nice hike near the waterfall near them. Everyone just goes to the easy places, take their pictures and go. As soon as you set foot on the trail an walk by the river, you are in an idyllic beautiful place with no one around. This, for example, we would not have seen if it were not for Azra.

Nothing. Ideal base for us to explore the local area.
A very quiet and tranquil stay in close proximity to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Ideal place for me and my partner to stay whilst in the local area. Great view from our room overlooking the local nature, green fields, tree and mountainous views. Ideal communal kitchen for teas and coffees. The room and bed was of a very good size.

Charming guesthouse in a quiet place with convenient parking. Tasty, home-cooked meals. Convenient location, 2 km from Plitvice lakes. Clean and pleasant room with air conditioning.

The fridge in the room was a bit noisy. Relatively expensive breakfast taking into account what was offered. In the kitchen lack of any pot or a pan to prepare, heat up the meal while there was a cooker.
Very quiet localization and close to The Plitvice lakes entrance. Very clean apartement with facilities available (kitchen for guests use, bikes to rent, etc.), a lot of space also in the common area. The terrace with a nice view to the mountain.

We have nothing to complain about.
Everything new, fresh and clean. Air conditioner was a comfort saver ar such hot days (35C). Good location. Around 20-30 mins walk to Plitvice lakes entrance 1. But we took our car and parked at the end of road. Personnel very helpful and nice.

We didn’t like the separated blanked, but we get that this is used in these places.

Soundproofing could be better.
