How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff is amazing - it's a family owned business that they built and improved over the years. They obviously live and breathe for it. I's one of those rare places I'd come back to again.

I would say the rooms are a bit small - for us with a child it was ok since the balcony was huge so it is a matter of preference.
Very nice breakfast, clean rooms, nice balcony, the surrounding : pool , tennis courts makes you feel that you are in a 4-5 star hotel. Worth the stay, the staff are amazing many thanks to them. We visited with our 6 month baby and she got all the attention from them :). Open bar till around midnight near the pool amazing option, also you do not need to pay on the spot but just can pay at the end of your stay. ( been a while since i saw this options - very convenient). If you have a car it takes : 5 min to reach the beach, and you can find free parking slots. You have marina restaurant nearby as well others ( birkin for example for pizza). No need to add photos, since the one you see are real.

Villa Gloria is a beautiful family owned place, very patient and accepting of every guest, making you very quickly to feel like home. Staff is at your hand all the time, but not in a "sticking your nose" way, but in a friendly, gentle manner. The pool is fabolous, unusually big for this type of accommodation, with a lot of comfortable shade, and also space for sun exposure. Tennis courts are right next to the pool, and the bar is also very handy. After few days there, we can definitely say we will come back, since we didn't even see the sea. Relaxing by the pool with the great bar won over crowdy beaches this time.

We liked how clean and comfortable the room was. Drinkable tab water, very hot shower water, good wifi... the breakfast was great they even had pancakes with nutella and various musli, salami, cheese options... There are tennis courts, a swimming pool a bar, which is open till 00:00. You get what you see, which is rare and very good. They talk perfect german as well.

Don’t hesitate booking at Villa Gloria. Gloria, Daniel, friend of the house Stefano and the mama are wonderful!! They make you feel at home completely. We miss Villa Gloria already. Big big heart to this hotel. Assets: free parking, calm area and very close to the center, wonderful breakfast, nice bar outside and relaxing huge pool.

You can hear everything through the door of the room, no fly screens on the windows which is why mosquitos kept me up all night trying to catch them with my electric mosquito swatter and also why the ceiling and walls and dirty with smashed mosquitos, mold on bathroom walls, no card payment for the room, the parking lot was really crammed and only a small part of it has a shade and only during the afternoon, internet was ok (speed 20,5/9), the beds are too soft, the AC remote worked very poorly and seemed 20 years old.
The pool area is nice, also the breakfast was ok, the rooms feal modern but its poor quality.

The family that runs the hotel don't really know what hospitality is. On arrival no one was there. In the end we got the room key from a young girl with no explanation. The mother asked for our passports in an annoying way a few days later because we had not shown them at check-in (because nobody was there). The daughter (Gloria) is far from friendly. Can't smile and doesn't make you feel welcome at all that. The son runs the pool bar and being several evenings there drunk with the bar staff while there were guests. Pool is nice but very old sunbeds with broken pillows and towels.
Nice location, nice pool and parking facilities. Close to store’s and a 15 min drive from Poreč.

The bed wasent quite at all. Ever if you turn in your sleep you wake up because its so loud.
The location was not in the city but comfortable to reach within 10min with a car. Breakfast was very good, not everyday the same. The room was for 2 Persons enougth and they cleaned it every day.
