Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany-It was very nice, just the WiFi didn't work so well. -Not dislike just important to mention:You need to take many stairs to arrive at the beach, so from one hand it gives you an amazing view, but it is quite a workout. for us was perfect. but if you have a problem with stairs, so you should take place closer to the beach.
It is a very nice apartment with a bedroom, living room, a nice kitchen and a balcony with a view to the beach. We have been in the off-season, so it was not so expensive. Very nice location.

United KingdomIt's a big shame the pool had been emptied. We really had hoped to use the pool especially as the local water was a little rough.

Location is amazing. Right on the Sunset beach. A little far from the old town but bus stop is at 800m to go there.

United KingdomLocation is the only. To get to the main strip you have the choice of tackling about 100 stairs for the quick route back to the hotel, or walking up the ramp which takes double the time. Admittedly, we never felt too harsh considering the Croatia sun. And the view at the end was amazing, especially a dip in the pool
Room was lovely and kept to a great standard. Lovely balcony area that felt closed off from the other guests, with an amazing view. Pool was lovely for a good refreshing dip. Room was a great size too

CanadaDid not provide any pool towels despite having a pool - house rules do not allow you to take your towels out of the room. Other hotels we visited in Croatia provide pool/beach towels. The shower stall is beyond small for any normal human being. Did not provide paper towels or tissues - only toilet paper. The stove top barely works (took 2 hours to boil eggs). Supposed to receive rewards for this booking, it has been over a week and the host has yet to confirm that we have checked out/eligibility for rewards.
Really nice views of the bay. Very close to the beach and boardwalk. Facilities were clean. The large balcony was enjoyable for sitting and having breakfast. The hotel is quiet and peaceful.

United KingdomThe location is a bit further from the city centre but right above a beach. Be ready to walk a lot of stairs if you don't have a car
Apartment is clean, spacious and has all the amenities needed. Very good value for money and great for a beach holiday

United KingdomTake your own beach towels if you want to use the pool. Water shoes are helpful if you want to go in the sea as its very stoney but lots of beach vendors sell them nearby.
Amazing views from the balcony over Lapad. A short walk down to the bars and restaurants (bit longer coming back up the 178 steps!) Located just above the popular Cave bar. You can get a local bus into old town - tip: if you buy the Dubrovnik Pass you get entry to all the main attractions and it includes 24hr travel pass for the local buses. Just show the e-ticket to the bus driver when you get on.

Excellent facilities. Ideal location. So good I went back twice. Will be back soon, and this would be my nr 1 pick for a stay.

FranceThe staff were mean and grumpy, and the owner, the meanest of them all, didn't want me to use the pool or to give me a receipt at the end of my stay.. In addition, he wouldn't allow me even 5 minutes grace time to check out.

United KingdomNothing at all to dislike!
A superb apartment located in Lapad area. A very short walk to Lapad bay, restaurants, bars, shops and frequent bus service (number 5 and 6) to the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Our apartment was clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Loved the terrace with views across Lapad bay, and the plunge pool. Our hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and kindly stored our luggage securely on our last day.

United KingdomNot a thing we didn't love. 3 amazing beaches close enough to walk to so all great. A fair few steps to the strip though so not great for the less mobile.
Am amazing view and right in the heart of everything. Small pool area but with the beach so close and so lovely, we didn't use it at all. Will certainly be returning.

Canada1st of all, Chici ( not sure ab the spelling) is awesome. Our luggage was lost on our flight and she walked us down to get some things on her own time, always friendly. We loved our room, the view was amazing, walkable distance to beach, supermarkets, restaurants etc. #6 bus takes you to old Town for 2 euros.

New ZealandIt was perfect! The most amazing view from our balcony.... just Wow. Our apartment on top floor was brilliant, 40 steps up from the gate, had help with our luggage, apartment so spacious, clean, AC & everything you need, very comfortable, pool was great coming home too after a hot afternoon, close to everything. Great location to beach across the road & down stairs, make sure you have good walking shoes for a 100+ stairs going down, beautiful clear swimming & snorkling. Walked along beach to brilliant choices of restaurants for a great lunch & drinks, then caught a 5min Uber back up to our apartment. Took a 9min Uber to the Old Town Wow so amazing, lots of dinner options inside Old Town, make sure to wear good comfortable shoes as theres so much to see of this gorgeous town. We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Katrina, definitely will be back for a much longer stay, thank you for having us. Highly recommend.
