Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandLocation at the "top of the hill" few hundreds meters from harbour. Not a minus but you should prepare to climb a bit. Just as a hint: There's no reception and room keys are available backside of the building and downstairs where cleaners have their "office" ☺️
Spacious and clean rooms with balcony and cooking facilities. Nice pool area.

United KingdomThe location is at the very end of town and is a very steep climb all the way as we were on foot. We also had a lot of ants in our apartment. We chose a ground floor but wouldn’t do this again. The bedroom was really warm as the air on is only in the living room area but this seems to be a recurring theme in Croatia. We were in 5 different locations and this was a problem in all of them as it made sleeping uncomfortable.
The pool and outdoor area were really nice and were a real bonus as the weather was hotter than normal, we had been to several locations previous during this trip with no pools.

United KingdomLocation was okay as we are young and healthy however its probably the highest you could be up the mountain. Very Very steep hills if arriving on a ferry with luggage, dread the walk home after a belly full of food and drink from the town.
Lovely pool to use which was a suntrap and very quiet.

United KingdomLittle hike up to the apartment but nice views from the top.
Very well equipped apartment suitable for a long stay. Very spacious and comfortable. Patio was nice and the pool is a added bonus too. Staff while not based on site were very attentive and could meet you on site for your arrival. They also offered to hold our bags down by the dock which was extremely helpful after we checked out before our ferry.

United KingdomThe pool was a little... cloudy. It didn't seem to bother the children swimming in it. We hadn't planned on spending much time around the pool area, but did go up one afternoon after being the beach all day. Decided not to swim in it. You can hear people in the other rooms. We knew this was going to happen so wasn't a big deal. We had some lads next to us for a few nights and they liked to party - until 6am. We were more impressed with their stamina (!) than annoyed at hearing them. Out of the 11 nights we stayed, they were the only few nights that we had out sleep interrupted. Not a big issue to us, but mentioning in case this is something that could ruin your stay.
We had a one bedroom apartment on the top floor - amazing views across to Hvar. We could also see Zlatni Rat in the distance. Our apartment was clean and the kitchen was well equipped enough make ourselves breakfast each day. Whenever we did encounter any problems with the room the staff on had sorted things out very quickly. The room was definitely big enough for a couple. Bed were twin beds pushed together, and were very comfortable. Air con kept the room nice and cool - and it was 36 degrees when we were staying there so much needed! Also in the room was a table that seated 4, a sofa/pullout bed and table/chairs for two on the balcony. On arrival our phone map sent us on the quickest route to walk to apartment, but this is also the steepest. There are a few other ways up and down, lovely little walks that add on a few minutes, but make the trek back up a little easier. It can be a heavy walk back up in the heat, but we clocked that as our exercise for the day (= more gelato, wine, etc) and there was always a breeze on our balcony. Zlatni rat is 20-30 minute walk away. And a really lovely walk. We only swam there once, preferring the coves to the east of the harbor. Harbor is a short walk, and it is absolutely beautiful. So many postcard images in one place. And places to eat/drink.And so clean - no litter and rubbish like you have elsewhere. Lots of pride taken in this little community. Oh, Fishermans Market on a Wednesday night- the harbor side fills with people selling cooked seafood from their stalls Delicious seafood and a festival vibe!

United KingdomThe towels where dirty when we got there, the pool didn’t seem very clean and when we asked for a fan they never brought one. It’s also on a very steep hill although it is close to the centre of bol.
The pool was lovely to have outside the apartments and it looks the same as it does online. It had a good shower and kitchen utensils

The views from the apartment are amazing and the swimming pool area is fantastic. Also, the location es quite good, although it is in the upper part, it just is 400 meters to the center (15 min).

PolandA small drawback is the fold-out sofa in the living room - only the wife was able to fold it :) The pool should be open until at least 8 pm:)
Property on the hill overlooking the sea and the island of Hvar. Strong steep climb :) but for health and calories burned it is ok :) The pool is clean. We spent 10 days here, the children were very pleased. The town of Bol is very nice, great restaurants.
