Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLocation is exceptional - very close to the entry of the ok’d city and Banji beach. Easily accessed by taxi so you are not dragging your luggage for miles. Laundry close by, view from patio and excellent hosts. Cable car is around the corner. The AC blows cold and the room was comfortable for two adults and two teenagers. Very close to the old city without the noise and the soundproofing is excellent. The owners said they did a ground up restoration a couple years ago starting from 4 bare exterior walls.

United KingdomWe booked 2 rooms and one was perfect for two people. It was on the top floor, air conditioning worked well and it had plenty of space. The other room on the ground floor felt a little small for 3 teenagers and the air conditioning didn't work quite as well. Having said that, they slept ok and enjoyed themselves in Dubrovnik.
Great location right next to the gate into the old city. This was really helpful in the summer heat as it meant that a taxi could get very close to the property (which isn't possible if you stay in the old city) but we could reach everything we wanted to see and do easily. We were met on arrival with the keys and Mia was incredibly helpful. There's also a lovely roof terrace which was a great place to sit early morning and in the evening

RomaniaWe really enjoyed our room and our stay, so there is nothing that we didn t like.
The property is near the city walls, the room was clean, spacious, with access to a balcony with direct view to the city walls. Although the check in starts at 14.00pm, our host prepared the room for us earlier, as we arrived at 10.00 am. Mia, our host, was and is more than nice and helpfull! A big plus ia that we can enjoy both the old city and the sea from the balcony! Manny restaurants nearby.

We liked the property, location and friendliness of our host Mia. The property is in a fantastic location to the old town. We had a studio with its own private balcony but also the use of the shared balcony. The apartment had its own kitchenette which was very useful for breakfast. The balconies look onto the wall of the old town and towards the sea. Towels and rubbish are changed every other day but you also have plenty of spare toiletries and towels. Overall we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this property. Thank you Mia. Glenn and caroline

Amazing location right at the wall of the old town with extremely friendly and helpful owners. They gave us many great recommendations around which restaurants to choose, where to walk the dogs, which beaches to check out etc etc. The flats are clean and have everything you need. There is also a nice Focaccia Place right in front where you get great (iced) coffee and breakfast (could even take it all up to our rooftop terasse). Within a few steps you reached everything by foot and could explore the whole old town. Whenever you wanted to take a break you could just walk back to the room and rest before heading out for dinner at night. There is also a beach 5-10 mins by foot (no entry free). The owners are extra pet-friendly, always reachable via whats app and they even offered us a free parking nearby (you must ask early enough as spots are limited). We just had a perfect few days in Dubrovnik also thanks to Villa Ragusa Vecchia. Would always book it again. Nothing to complain ~ 10 of 10 :)

SwedenIt would be good to alert guests that you cannot reach the property all the way by car. There is a short (maybe 50m?), but steep uphill to the door, so be ready if you are carrying heavy luggage (but summer is coming, who needs anything heavy anymore:D). However, for Dubrovnik, this is NOTHING compared to the hundreds of stairs some guests have to climb to reach their accommodation. So just a suggestion for the host web page, NOT A NEGATIVE CRITICISM AT ALL! (see the photo of the entrance to property and view of downhill to the main road)
The owners are wonderful, pleasant and very helpful. We got ourselves locked out and they were there to help us within five minutes although it was after 10 p.m. on a weekend! The location is amazing, you are literally 3 min from the Old City, and the terrace (shared!) is this ultimate dream-come-true of sitting sipping wine, coffee, and watching the Adriatic Sea. The apartment is perfect in terms of size - the bedroom is a big bed, a very nice size of bathroom with a walk-in shower. Lovely smelling shower gel provided! The small living room is just what you would need, a small sofa bed for seating 2-3 persons (also good to sleep one person without pulling open), a kitchen with everything you need (in addition to utensils, also spices, salt, oil, sugar, coffee). We are coming back!!!! Restaurants 30-50 m away - GustaMe (see the photo of the view from the restaurant) and Chow - both with amazing views of the Old Town Gate of Ploce. Shop, tourist office (currency exchange, postcards, etc.) and bakery 60-80 m away - literally all you need! Oh, I forgot - bus station-taxi ride 50 m away!

Fantastic location just outside the Old Town city walls with amazing views from the rooftop terrace! Steps away from the grocery store, local bakery, and the beach. The house, guest room and terrace are well-designed and spotlessly clean. Our host Miho was very helpful, responsive and caring, and the bottle of wine with chocolates for my birthday that we found in our room was such a lovely and touching surprise! NetherlandsDuring my first night, the guests staying above my room were a little noisy and the disco music coming from the club in the Old Town was a little too loud for comfort. However, I did manage to get my sleep in during the first night. The next day, Mia had asked if I was able to sleep and apologized for the noise. Apparently, one of the other guests had complained about the 'noisy' guests upstairs, which her brother had dealt with, and promised that it will not happen again. As to the loud music coming from the club, the host mentioned that all the neighbors complained to the club who apparently had their disco moved to the roof top that night. The next night, the loud music was gone. :) The room, location and hosts were really great that it will be hard to give any negative comments. But if I were to make a small suggestion, it would be nice to have a few packets of instant coffee for early morning or late night cravings. Since there was a kettle and some cups/plates in the room, it would be amiss not to use them. I had to buy a whole bottle of coffee for a couple of nights' use only so it would have been nice to have a few packets of coffee handy. But maybe it's just me. :)
Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was pretty big as well. Shower had sliding doors which was awesome as it prevented the bathroom floor from being wet. Wi-fi was super reliable. Hosts (Mia and her brother) were excellent and dealt with noisy neighbors promptly. Mia also had given great recommendations and was super helpful with any questions I had. Location is perfect as it was close to everything especially the Old Town and the cable car/airport shuttle bus stop location. There was also a laundromat close by which was really helpful. Would definitely stay at this place again.

United StatesWe let our host know our estimated arrival time but we were late due to transportation delay. When we arrived at the property, we had to call the host to be let in. I usually don't travel with a phone that I could use to make phone calls, it's used with wifi only. So that would have been good to know beforehand.
Location was amazing! And the room was quite large, clean, and comfortable. The host was also super helpful with giving recommendations and assistance.
