How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bathroom didn't have a space to put a lot of things or even hang the towels, which was a bit of an inconvenience. The interior in general was quite old-fashioned or basic but that wasn't a surprise as you could see it in the photos before.
The host were really really nice and kind. We were picked up at the airport and due to our whole plane's luggage being forgotten in Germany, they had to wait a long time for us to get out. I really appreciated the patience. The location was calm and close to the sea, the B&B had towels that we could take to the sea. I really liked the options at the breakfast buffet. It was technically well connected to the centre as the bus stop was only a couple of minutes walking distance from the accommodation (practically the bus got stuck in the traffic at certain times so you had to be patient - which obviously doesn't have anything to do with the accommodation this is just for information).

Hotel is actually on a hill, not that close to the beach as pictures might give the impression. Arriving before the checkin time was a challenging experience, as the staff basically does not speak English. Our room at the corner of the top floor with "swimming pool view" had mostly an ugly "parking lot terrain view" and was quite small. We had the impression that the hotel had a lot of empty rooms and we could have gotten a nicer room. The bath towels were very rough.
Clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast.

Very nice hotel! We spent 10 days here with our 9 and 15 years old kids. Owners were very hospitable and took good care of us during the hole holiday. Absolutely the best location, near several grocerystores, bakery and beautiful and clean beach. Pool area was nice, beautiful scenery to mountains and sea. By bus you can travel to Omiś and Split easily. And from Split to Trogir and Krka national park etc. I absolutely recommend this hotel and Podstrana!

Interior design is a bit old school. But it’s still good and cosy.
Best thing about this place is people. More precisely-staff. It’s a family business and everyone is ready do to everything to make your stay comfortable. And it is amazing place because you can see both see and mountain.

We had a bit of a struggle to find it, because the Booking.com address led us too far. But once we found it, it was amazing!
The room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was amazing, lots to choose from. The pool was good too!

Rooms were nice and tidy, with everything you might need. The people who worked there were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast service was nice, with lovely coffee. Location is pretty great - the nearest beach is less than ten minutes away. The pool was a nice addition that helped to bear the August heat.

Our room was in need of updating, but was still clean.
The location is great, only about 5 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants, which was perfect for us. The owners couldn’t do enough to help, giving lots of hints and tips about the local area, they were very friendly and even provided us with a pack up as we left before breakfast to catch our flight home on our final day. Very thoughtful and helpful. Pool was lovely, always able to get a sun bed.

Absolutely perfect, 3 mins from a local shop with all you need, 6 minute walk down a hill to the beach which is very common for Croatia. The swimming pool was clean, plenty of chairs to lay on. Breakfast was brilliant they really catered to my likes.

The room we stayed in was very very clean and new. We had a balcony with amazing view. Pool was wonderful, very very friendly owners. We did not expect this. Location was wonderful, very close to the beach and quiet.

Great stay, couldn’t have loved it more. Very friendly staff who were understanding of a personal situation which meant we had to cut our stay short. Rooms lovely and kept very clean. Pool area quiet and relaxing. Good location in Postrana, a few minutes walk to the supermarket and 6/7 minutes walk to the bakery. Less than 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants on the beach. Bus stop 5 min walk which takes you into Split. Could not recommend this place more!

Stayed in a good size deluxe room overlooking the pool. The spotlessly clean bathroom was a good size with an excellent shower. The room was clean and comfortable with a large sized bed. Nothing was too much trouble for the family owners who were very welcoming and helpful. There was a good choice of items for the continental breakfast.
