Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAmazing location and views. Property very comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything you could want. Terrace very large, next to the sea literally. As attached to the hotel can book breakfast or dinner. Bars a short walk away. Mlini is a beautiful quiet pretty harbour. Srebeno just along the coast which is a nice walk past bars and restaurants. Plenty of clean beaches and a large pool area if like that sort of thing. Highly recommend.

Netherlandsin order to add dranks or snacks at pool restaurant to our room account, it seemed a deposit was required at main desk, which wasn't explained at check in. pool was beautiful, just not heated. lunch menu pool restaurant was limited to our taste. because mlini is a small village, number of restaurants and entertainment options (outside high season) is limited. hills and stairs might be a problem for the less mobile visitors.
very friendly staff, at reception and throughout location. we got a free upgrade with amazing villa and sea views. we (only) took breakfast at the a la carte (pool) restaurant, which was already great. to complete our positive suprise, we received a complimentary dinner. villa was amazingly comfortable, including the beds and airco.

United KingdomPrices generally have dramatically increased in this area and out of proportion to costs elsewhere. As example drinks are now the same or more than London (and Italy where we visited earlier this year). Increasingly difficult to get good local food (outside supermarkets) with many restaurants moving toward usual i.e. pasta/pizzas/burgers/chips...maybe calamari
Return visitor-excellent location, beautiful area , short boat trips to islands and Dubrovnik. Great views, walks, swimming, clear seas if you enjoy snorkelling.

Well equipped villa with great view. Best to be high up if you're not on the beachfront. We swapped to a proper double as twin beds pushed together doesn't work. TVs in both bedroom and living room was a bonus. Plus the nice balcony. Viias are much closer to the beach and pool than the hotels. Breakfast at the beach bar was much better than the hotel buffet. Thanks to Gorana who served us both times. Beach towels provided was a bonus.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The only thing that would have been good (and we’re being picky here) is to have a closer supermarket. There are two small shops close by/on site for smaller bits and snacks but not essentials like bread/milk etc.
The location is perfect for being conveniently close to Dubrovnik and Cavtat but without being in a busy tourist area. The resort was nicely quiet and all of the staff was really friendly and helpful. There were always plenty of sun beds around the pool and on the beach. All restaurants and bars on site were great and Srebreno is walking distance (about 15 minutes along the beach) where there are more cafes/bars/restaurants.

United KingdomYou had to check in at the hotel this was very dated in need of an up grade. Being in the villas it didn't matter and the pool was lovely.
It was just as described, beautiful views, lovely beach for swimming. Relaxig location very peaceful. 15 minutes to Dubrovnik and 10 minutes to Cavtat in taxi boat. Restaurants were great lovely food.

United KingdomThe hotel didn’t have any irons, only provided an expensive ironing service. Not a negative but definitely pack your own travel iron if you don’t like creased clothes.
We had an amazing uninterrupted view, the apartment was bigger than we expected and was spotlessly clean. The location was great and the hotel staff were very helpful when we needed anything. We will definitely return!

NetherlandsWhen coming to the pool it can be challenging to find a free bed / beach umbrella. Hotel staff is definitely helpful but still is annoying that a lot of beds are reserved by people who just dropped their towel and come a few hours later to use it. Furthermore the pool can be a bit cold and besides the pool you have to take stairs / climb to reach te parking lot. Note that in the standard apartment the kitchen is also very small.
The standard apartment that we rented had an excellent view over the sea and a big balcony to enjoy it. The apartments itself are situated nicely on the park with a lot of plants/ trees etc. Our daughter loved the big pool. Furthermore the hotel staff very helpful and for instance helped us to get our luggage from the car to the apartment, helped out in the evening (23:00) with cleaning of our floor when we accidentally broke a glass (there is no broom which makes it impossible to do it your self) and last but not least they did a great job cleaning the apartment on a daily basis.

United KingdomWe had to pay for sun beds every day at the beach as there were none left by the pool. The fact that people reserved their beds early - queuing to get in and then leaving their towels for hours was ridiculous. There should be a policy of no reserving to make it fair.
We loved the location and apartments had stunning views. The beach was great.

IrelandThe area is a bit expensive.. value for money is not always there. Self catering facilities were limited in the villa.
The main thing was the stunning location. Nice pool area and hotel is right on the beach. The 2 hotel restaurants were good. Mlini and Srebreno are nice places to walk in the evening with restaurants and a few bars. The water taxi to Dubrovnik was a great thing to try.
