The hotel manager used to be a guide and gave us great advice on where to go and what to visit. The hotel is outstanding.

Excellent hotel just next to the small fishing harbour. 50 metres from the very nice small city beach. Extraordinary breakfast with omelette.

A few little things: The property claims to have a spa but this isn’t operational - they should remove this from the description, but it doesn’t in any way detract from a fabulous little property that overlooks the harbour area. The room key cards aren’t reliable and need to be regulars re programmed.

The location was fantastic. The staff were willing to help with everything - all were lovely including housekeeping lady who had to rescue me from being locked out of my room a few times.

The view from our window was lovely but the service at this hotel was what stood out. Although Vrilo is a Hotel Nicco and his colleagues made us feel as if we were being hosted through airbnb - friendly and smiley hosts always ready to help. The location was also perfect!

smell of smokers on balcony, had to close the window when going to bed, but maybe I'm a bit to conscious about this subject, so it's more of a personal perception

Wi-Fi dropped out in the room at night sometimes but ok elsewhere in hotel. Not a major issue at all.

The staff were exceptional: Nicolas and ante were really helpful in offering local advice, arranging boat hire, resolving any requests quickly. Appreciated!

It’s too far from Milna and there is almost no bus options. Taxis are really expensive.

The owners are incredibly nice and helped ya a lot. We needed to leave early so they prepared an earlier breakfast.

The staff were a little underconfident. We had had twin beds confirmed, but on arrival were given a double. They DID sort it out in a few minutes, and gave us a suite, but there was a hint of reluctance. The notices in the rooms about throwing guests' own food and drink 'on the rubbish' if placed in the mini-bar seemed a bit hostile. We did not bring our own, and actually used the minibar. But it is not a good look.

The location was good. The breakfast was adequate.

The breakfast was often too basic and we skipped it on most days. The coffee is horrible, the bread was sometimes stale, and no pastries were provided. The hotel staff at reception were rude, not even unfriendly but rude to the point of not saying hello when we came into the hotel or a simple greeting when walking past them.

The cleaning staff was great and the room was big & comfortable. The decor is a little bit outdated but didn't mind it too much. The balcony is by far the best feature.

The room was not as in the pictures. The bed room windows were extraordinary small making a he room like a bunker. Although there was indeed a balcony with a sea view, this was not sufficient to make the room comfortable. The shower didn’t have a curtain making it impossible to not get the bathroom wet every time it was in use.

The Location is very central. The breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful and always available.

Not sure why it is rated as 4 star hotel as it definitely doesn’t deserve even 2 stars. Very basic, no amenities advertised - the pool was closed, no sauna or other facilities available. We were told to go to another hotel to use a pool, but the person manning the reception couldn’t tell us any details, like whether towels would be available. It turned out that you had to rent towels at 30kunas each plus a deposit of 70(!) and the pool was horrible with cheap plastic chairs at the so called pool bar, dirty and overcrowded. Reception staff not trained properly, they weren’t able to provide basic information about the area, or the hotel. Definitely one to avoid!
