How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The whole hotel has an old-fashioned feel, but it is very clean and tidy. We were warmly welcomed and everything according to the agreement was respected. The accommodation is very well connected to the city.

It could be cleaner, especially bathroom. Basic breakfast, not so good coffie.
My second stay here, first time was in 2019. Inexpensive. Good price, lagre parking, H5 metro line near will take you to Budapest centre in 15 min. Very good bed, clean sheets, quiet. Its ok, if you came with a car is even better. I'll stay again. Good for a nighjt or two.

A very noisy flush in the toilet. Breakfast was moderate: only cheese, salami, bread and butter, jam, tea, boiled eggs, bell pepper, tomatoes and cruches with milk. No coffee machine (+ cappuccino), no croissant or any kind of buns, no cereal or fried eggs, no sausage.
No additional charges for the dog. Very welcoming stuff. Free parking. Breakfast was included. Although we didn’t use it, but there was a jacuzzi in the room witch was a pleasant surprise. Very confortable double bed. There was a wardrobe, table, 2 chairs. Very good internet (we watched HBO and there was no interruptions). There are 2 big supermarkets and a mall nearby (only 300 meters) where you can buy food if you need. Good value for money! :)

The room wasn't as clean as it should be and we found quite a lot of bugs.
The staff and breakfast were amazing. The location was perfect - calm but close to the center.

Nothing much but the commute distance is far from the city center. Easier to get there with a car rather than by a train.
It's a simple and decent hotel. The staff are really friendly and the breakfast is good.

Accommodation in a very good and quiet location, right next to the public transport stop and in 15 minutes in the center of Budapest. The accommodation was modest, older, but clean and the staff very helpful. Great, fresh and tasty breakfast. I can only recommend for visitors to Budapest.

I was suprised when i came in the room and i had not a bathroom just a toilet, and then I discovered a jacuzzi in the room. I was on a work trip, i would prefered a normal bathroom

Breakfast buffet could offer more options. Rooms are old, could have been cleaner but nothing severely wrong with that.
Good breakfast served as a buffet. Good location, close to the city train. Great staff, very helpful and speaks good english. Overall great value. Would visit again.

The location is good, close to the public transportation. We left the car in the parking lot and in 30 minutes were in the city center. The zone were it is located is cery quiet and nice, pleasant to have a nice walk.

I do not have any complaints. Everything was as expected.
The value for money of this bed&breakfast is very good. It is positioned a little bit outside of the city center but there is the H5 line which takes you straight to Fisherman's Bastion. The staff speaks English very well, the room was clean and pleasant and the fact that the breakfast is included in the price makes it even better. The foresty surroundings of the hotel also make it a very nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

The wifi does not work in the room on the second floor.

- one night we came at the hotel at around 11:30pm and the door was locked, not sure what happened but we ringed the bell and someone opened the door in 2 minutes - no air conditioning, still was not really hot inside
- nice staff, speaking at least hungarian, english and romanian - the location is at a 5 minutes walk away from a suburban railway station wich goes into the center of Budapest, it was really easy to get anywhere - free parking
