The owner of this accommodation is a scammer! I paid the accomodation since January 2024 for April 2024, I asked to check-in between 2-3 pm, it was approved, and when I got there to check in, I was kicked out of the property, for the reason as I paid at the booking.com and the scammer (the owner) did not receive a single penny yet. Since you have signed and agreed to the booking contract, you have assumed this matter. As a customer, I had to have the room available to me. The owner, not knowing that I live on the Hungarian-Romanian border and Hungarian is spoken in my town, even cursed me for being Romanian (I understood absolutely everything you said). You would be good at paying for racial discrimination too! If you want to have a good stay in Budapest, don't stay here because they are jerks and not serious. I spoke with booking.com and I was offered another accommodation. Besides, I got my money back for the accommodation and the difference for the new accommodation was also covered. So....actually the scammer paid for the frivolity and impudence he demonstrated!

Everything. They are not polite at all, not answering thr phone and/or hanging up, and they never let me in.

Nothing, since i never entered. They pretended that i didnt book the room and that they dont speak english, and customer service from Booking did nothing to assist with it.

NEVER BOOK A ROOM HERE! ALL PHOTOS ARE FAKE! How does it work? You book a room and pay for it immediately. The condition says it's non-refundable. That's fine. But the "surprise" awaits you on the day of arrival! The owner starts to tell you that the house is under renovation and they have not had time to paint the walls. You ask to show the room. You are shown the room by 2 girls and a guy (his assistants) and...oh horror...there is nothing but dust, dirt, broken walls and a ruined sofa! Of course you decide to cancel the booking and ask for your money back. The owner says that only you can cancel the booking (he is lying - he has to do it himself, by calling on Booking.com), if you personally cancel the booking, then no chance to get your money back - YOU HAVE PERSONALLY CANCELLED THE BOOKING! The trap is sprung! But, the owner didn't know that I knew the rules and got nervous when I asked him to cancel the booking personally. He called them too and spoke for a long time in Hungarian (I didn't understand anything). When I started to call to Booking.сom myself they (owner and guys) realised that I was not a timid person. The young man grabbed my suitcase, the girls GRABBED ME and rudely PUSHED ME OUT of the gate. I got through to Booking.com and explained what happened. They sent a request to the so-called hostel to cancel the booking, but of course no one was going to do it. Moreover - the host or one of those who pushed me out wrote me insulting messages, showing hatred towards my NATIONALITY among other things! I couldn't take a photo of the room, no one barred me, of course. So here I leave a photo of the correspondence. If I had cancelled the booking myself - I would not have been able to leave a comment (this scammer knows about that)! When you are somewhere for 2 days you don't have time for police and so on... I lost my time and money! Of course I went straight to a nearby hotel.

We arrived around 6:30 in the evening on Saturday February 10th. The entrance looked like a private house which probably was. We saw from the window an old guy sitting half naked on his computer and a younger woman on her phone, After a bit the woman came outside and invited us in. It was the dirtiest kitchen/office I've ever been. The owner then put on a sleeveless vest which added on to the creepiest check in ever. He was very rude and despite we booked 3 double and 1 single room he insisted to give us 3 double only. When I gave him the confirmation papers he rumbled something to the woman and they both refused to give us the 4 rooms. Then I told him to call Booking.com and he said that the company is closed during weekends which is definitely not true and when i insisted he became angry saying "ok bye". Due to our busy schedule we didn't call booking.com on the spot as we had to find another accommodation asap. He verbally accepted to refund the money once he received the free cancellation request from Booking.com. I did send a free cancellation request on the spot but he refused to check his e-mails. Up until now we haven't received any refund from Booking.com as he has to accept it first. It is beyond logic how these kind of properties get validated from Booking.com, the place is a complete scam and it should be taken down from the platform. NEVER GO THERE !

Owners are just starting to rent out the rooms and sometimes miss some normal routine things like providing keys (wasn't a problem for me), explaining kitchen rules, etc. It's not a big deal as long as you ask for everything yourself. A welcome booklet with all this information would help.

I enjoyed my stay, the owners were welcoming and charming people, very flexible. It’s a good value for money. Good Wi-Fi, secure parking, our room was spacious enough and warm. Daggy is a super cool dog :-)
