Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOne thing I really dont like, it is the guest staying next to my room, talk so loud @ midnight and @ 3am that woke me up. I would suggest hotel admistration advising their future guest should control their way of talking affecting others to sleep. (Cant expect the room partition should be 100% sound proof) Please avoid this happen again. Travellers expect calm and silence room.
My main purpose is to visit buda castle. This hotel provide me the ease to buda castle and Fisherman Bastian. Room is spacious and clean. Also water kettle provided. Quiet area. :)

CanadaThe receptionist on the weekend (saturday 20th) was very rude and unprofessional when I asked about having an a/c remote. In the morning, our window faces east right where sunrise was and it got so hot that me and my friend woke up sweating. so we just wanted the remote for the morning but the receptionist was so rude and condescending about it, saying “it’s not warm enough for that”, everyone has different temperatures.
Great room, comfy beds and a great bathroom/shower.

Good location, right near the train station. The breakfast options were good but could have been a bit warmer.

United KingdomThe breakfast was great: we had plenty of choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was clean, and the location of the property was very convenient. Taking into account what we paid, and what we got in return, we were pleasantly surprised! I will definitely choose Christina residence again, if I visit Budapest!

BelgiumThe room is not dark enough at night. The refrigerator is tiny.
The breakfast is great, with a broad choice of healthy and not so healthy bits. They also come up with a couple of own made variations. The room is quiet and fairly large. One can get to the city center quite easily with the tram, or on foot. There is a park across the street which is ideal for jogging.

SerbiaEverything was great, we have no complaints.
The room was big, comfortable and regularly cleaned. We really liked having a Nespresso coffee machine in our room that we could use whenever we like. Breakfast was always delicious. The staff was very pleasant and always helpful. The kind girl on the reception arranged that we get breakfast take away bags on our last day, since we didn't have time to stay on the breakfast. The location of the hotel is excellent. We highly recommended Christina Residence to our friends for their next stay in Budapest.

RomaniaThe room was spacious and cozy, providing everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was excellent, and although not too elaborate, it had everything needed for a good nutritious start of the day. The employees were kind and welcoming and the cleanliness was always on point. My family and I participated at a conference near that area so it was the perfect location for us, with Bolt cars always coming in less than 4 minutes.

SerbiaEverything was PERFECT I just want to add a couple of things for the tourists - hopefully it's ok: ''Bolt'' taxi service from THIS apartment to the other part of the river (TO example: St. Stephen's Basilica; approximately 4-5 km OR 3 miles) IS around 7 EUR (payed in HUF/Hungarian forint). Public bus/tramway/tramcar ride would cost around 3 EUR/person for the same distance. I recommend you visit the the Buda Castle - located in the southern tip of Castle hill AND Fisherman's bastion (this area is like a storybook from the medieval era!) in THIS part of the city (''Old city'' or ''Buda'' - the west of the Danube River). While you're there you can eat at a nearby Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant (15 EUR/meal) or get Starbucks (regular Starbucks prices). In the OTHER part of the city, ''Pest'' (more vibrant, the east of the Danube River), I recommend you visit the Christmas market (in December), escape room (''Paniq room'': 19 EUR/person), Zoo café (you can pet lizards, bunnies, cats and a whole lot of other animals while you're there; 2.5 EUR/drink and NO entry fee), St. Stephen's Basilica, Harry Potter café AND the Ferris wheel (11 EUR/person). Eat the Hungarian Chimney cake (''Kürtőskalács'': 3-6 EUR/person) or the BEST traditional Asian food (''Sushi Garden'': 10 EUR/meal). *IMPORTANT*: For the cafés, you HAVE TO make a reservation at least a few weeks BEFORE you arrive, they are high in demand. Service is really good, Hungarian people make you feel like you're part of their family.
They upgraded our room, for a better one - without us even asking for it or paying more! Perfect. In a quiet, residental neighbourhood, in the ''Buda'' part of the city - on the WEST side of the river. There are 2 hospitals and only a few markets nearby, but the markets don't work past 8:00 PM (20h), so make sure you buy everything you need EARLIER. If you need food delivery/groceries, use their app ''Foodora'' ONLY. Some fast food places work 24/7 (McDonald's, pizza, barbecue...). FOR the CHEAPEST car rides - use their app: ''Bolt'' and pay with cash OR card. We used ''Bolt'' to go everywhere, it's a licensed, Government owned taxi service, they tell you the price right beforehand via app; new cars, polite drivers, they speak English too, and they drive really well. I don't think we've ever waited more than 2-5 minutes from when we requested a ride. Our apartment was on the 7th floor, BUT keep in mind that there is a small elevator you can use to go up to the 6th floor - then you take the stairs to get to the 7th. Breakfast was really tasty, it had everything; jams, pancakes, coffee, cheeses, buns, salads, juices... etc. The staff was very friendly, everyone was welcoming and breakfast was very fulfilling. The guy at the reception knows English and Serbian pretty well - he welcomed us, told us the rules and took our deposit (via card only). At the reception you can buy alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. There is also a filtered water machine, but you CAN drink it straight from the TAP because Budapest water is one of the freshest and healthiest in Europe. The apartment (we got the one with 2 bedrooms; for the 3 of us) looked exactly like the pictures, bright, CLEAN and had a kitchen + Nespresso (you can get free coffee pods on the reception). There's air-conditioning, TV, wi-fi, seperate bathroom/toilet, GOOD heating, soft towels for each person.

SloveniaThe elevator is small and feels quite uncomfortable when riding inside. It is also very slow, but they can't do much about it. Still better than walking 6 floors of stairs. In our room (8) only one light switch is working out of four, the rest are blank. Not comfortable before going to bed.
Cute accomodation in old block of flats on the top of the building. Plenty of rooms in great condition. Reception is also very neat. Beautyful breakfast place and food is very good, but has a limited choice. Very warm room even in winter.
