Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaWe stayed for 4 nights and loved the design and decor of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the pillow menu meant that we had the perfect pillows for each of us. The room was spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed the pool and had excellent relaxation massages in the beautiful, quiet spa. The hotel is so convenient to all sites, shopping and restaurants. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and professional.

United StatesLoved everything about the hotel itself. Our only issue was about access to the hotel since we were unfamiliar with this area in Budapest. Our taxi delivered us to the marked entrance door on Apáczai Csere János u. which was either a VIP or delivery entrance and staff outside were not pleased with the driver but we were given entrance and led down an enclosed hallway to the beautiful lobby. For travelers: be aware that the REAL main hotel entrance is on Dorottya Utica at the intersection with Wekerle Sándor Utica. Dorottya utca is blocked to vehicles at the hotel as the road becomes a pedestrian walkway only and leads to Vörösmarty tér, a public square with shops and the wonderful Gerbeaud Kavehaz (Cafe). Once we got our location bearings we had no further issues with taxis and getting dropped off at the main entrance.
Beautifully restored historical building near the Chain Bridge. Upscale decor in a modern tech style. The reception staff was extremely welcoming and assisted with all of our questions about the hotel and surrounding area (cafes and sightseeing, transfers to airport). Room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the restaurant and reception area. The vestibule area located in our room across from the bathroom was well stocked with coffee (Nespresso machine), tea, and minibar/snacks.

This hotel is centrally located. We walked to most of the major attractions or took the subway which is just around the corner. Every employee we encountered had a great attitude. They were helpful and polite. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were of good quality. We will definitely return.

Interior design, rooms, restaurant (for dinner, breakfast is just ok) and location. The fact that it is a new hotel in a convenient spot made us book it at first place.

Our room was very comfortable and clean with a view of vorosmarty square. The hotel is cetrally located and convenient to visit major tourist attractions, but it was always great to return to vorosmarty Square, where our two year old son could freely and safely run around and play.

CroatiaWe heard Dorothea Hotel was just opened a few months ago and we took a trip from Zagreb to enjoy Budapest and Dorothea for a weekend. Location is perfect, just a few steps from Danube river on one side an on the other side shops and attractions you see them from the room window. We ate twice in “green” Pavillon restaurant, different menus for lunch and dinner and both excellent, different vibes and light setups and both georgeus. Great cocktails and varieties of the vegetable (also a meat ones) dishes are awesome, all from local farms. Reception and the Spa (pool, steam, dry heat sauna) are great, staff extra polite like it should be in 5* Hotel. Anton bar and deli serves craft coffe and sweets. In the evening serves also great cocktails, Sofia ordered me one with cognac&American rye whiskey and it knocked me out to paradise, she took a picture of wife and me and many thanks to her. DJ from Anton bar was awesome, each song was special.
