Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandSome equipment requires refurbishment but it's been already communicated in the description. No surprise
What I loved mostly was HB option that I strongly recommend, I loved the dinners, every day were different, so many vegetables, meats, fishes, big variety of food, all were very very good and they were available until the end of the service. The same for breakfast. Congratulations to the Cook. I liked free tickets to external thermal bath, proximity to wonderful park. Staff was very kind and helpful. Hotel was clean.

United StatesThey only mentioned two things: their room was tiny (but comfy) and the toilet was very low. It would be great to have comfort-height toilets for the elderly.
My parents stayed there, it was their Christmas gift. They thought breakfast and dinner were great and really enjoyed the pools and the facility in general. It is excellently located in the middle of the city, close to everything. Clean also. They did say it is easy to get lost, the place is huge!

GermanyThe minibar is a bit overpriced, the wellness facility is a bit smaller than expected (although the outside thermal baths are really close, and the hotel provided free entry). The shower doors were broken.
Food, wellness, staff and room. Great hotel overall.

Russia- Many things which worsen the impression can be easily corrected: 1) Very strong smell of detergents in the room. Too strong! 2) A safety box exists but it's not fixed to the wardrobe (for me it equals to "there is no safety box") 3) WiFi exists, but it is not stable and worked only on the smartphone . My laptop refused to work. 4) A reading lamp above the bed exists, but it's very dim. You can't read in bed. 5). This is more difficult to change: the bathroom of a single room is tiny. Really tiny! Even though I'm small myself.
+ Location is convenient both for the centre and the railway station. + The size of my single room was good. Quiet at night. Warm, + Very good breakfast and dinner. Really the best impression of the hotel is the food:) + A kettle and a mini-bar in the room. The hotel consists of two parts: Park and Eger. "Park" is in a historical building, "Eger" occupies a modern part (modern in the sense that it doesn't look as beautiful and atmospheric). I was in Eger part but as I like the feeling of "grand' architecture, I'd go for Park if I stayed here again.

HungaryA few outlets for plugs: only two outlets in the room, and only one at the table. And, absolutely no outlet for USB plugs. Nowadays in European hotels are equipped with a lot of outlets, at lest two or more for plugs at the table, and USB outlets for USB plugs, too - but not here. Just before this trip, I have been to a 3 three-stars *** hotel in Budapest, which was well-equipped with outlets of electric power, but this, Hotel Eger, is a four 4 stars hotel, but the equipments for electric power are worse then in a 3 stars hotel. -- Moreover: there is NO hanger, in the room!! Only one hanger in the bathroom, for two towels and the robes you have one hanger. And, in the wellness-department you get the third towel, thus already four 4 hangers required in the bathroom, but there is one. Moreover, NO hanger in the room; however, in any normal hotel you have hangers just at the door, for yout coat and cap, but here you do not. One comes from the rain, and has to take his/her wet coat to the wardrobe, becasue no hanger in the room. Just before this trip, I have been to a 3 three-stars *** hotel in Budapest, which was well-equipped with hangers in the hallway to the room, but this Hotel Eger is a four 4 stars hotel, but the room was of two-stars dormitory-room but not of a hotel. - Generally, this Hotel Eger is proposed for the local Hungarian villain-guests, who come from countryside and wants to see a "hotel" in the city - but it is NOT proposed for the European high-class guests, who have demand and expectation, and it is not for American guest. When I have been to America, I stayed there in a primitive hostel in Indiana State, but that was of much higher level than this Hungarian room in a four-stars **** hotel, brrr. - Compare: when I have been to Finland, in such a town in countryside (in Jyväskylä), there I stayed in a very four 4 stars hotel os the Sokos-line, and THAT was a very four-stars hotel, but: Hungary is NOT Finland.
1) The wellness-department is excellent: five pools, including jacuzzi and various massage-pools where the thermal-water massaging your body. The saune has three variations (such as Finnish and Bio, etc), and the salt and aroma-cabins, too. You can go out and enjoy the open-air part of the wellness: good sun loungers and gymnastic equipment, condiments. - 2) the Drink-bar of the hotel is friendly, nice, well-equipped with soft furniture and the staff is excellent. The very professional staff of the drink-bar has been practiced in West-European Hotels and in Greece, too, thus the service and the level of drinks and cocktails is on the level of the best well-known hotels, as well.
